I like lists - so here is a list of the top 15 Club teams this year per Black Ink Score. Black Ink awards points for players that show up on prepvolleyball senior aces including honorable mention and on the Under Armour AA list. I made estimates for Juniors and Sophomores for senior ace points based on the Junior list and other sources...
I have listed players on the roster that had a black ink score along with their college commitment. I am sure I am missing some - and it is possible that some club has a bunch of talent on their roster that I missed. But I wanted a working list of the top clubs for this year - and the top players on those teams and where they are going to college.
1. Muncina (Indiana) - 29.0 Melani Shaffmaster (Minnesota - 2020) Mabrey Shaffmaster (Uncommitted - 2021) Kylie Murr (Ohio State) Alyiah Wells (Alabama) MJ Hammill (Wisconsin - 2020) Ellee Stinson (Northwestern - 2021) Bonnie Bostic (Yale) 2. Houston Juniors (Texas) - 24.5 Anita Anwusi (LSU) Skylar Fields (Texas) Sanaa' Dotson (Oklahoma) Isa Zelaya (Pepperdine) Kennedy Muckelroy (Oklahoma) Audrey Penn (Uncommitted) 3. TAV (Texas) - 24.5 McKenzie Nichols (TCU) Morgan Christon (Kansas) Jenna Wenaas (Texas A&M - 2020) Emma Clothier (Florida State) Madi Whitmire (UConn) Ciera Hecht (Texas A&M) Mykayla Myers (Washington State) Symone Wesley (Houston) 4. Texas Image (Texas) - 24.0 Audrey Nails (TCU) Molly Phillips (Texas) Azhani Tealer (Kentucky) Alli Wells (Alabama) Elizabeth Carroll (Northeastern) Londyn Gray (Georgia) Emily Merrick (Tennessee) 5. Northern Lights (Minnesota) - 22.0 Kennedi Orr (Nebraska - 2021) Marissa Hinkle (UCLA) Kyndra Hansen (Iowa) Ellie Husemann (Minnesota) Rachel Kilkelly (Minnesota) Blythe Rients (Iowa) Peyton Suess (Wake Forest) 6. Legacy Elite (Michgan) - 19.5 Jessica Robinson (Michigan) Jessica Mruzik (Michigan - 2020) Celia Cullen (Michigan State - 2020) Desiree Becker (Northwestern) Paige Briggs (Western Kentucky) Hannah Grant (Michigan State) Madison Dowd (Georgetown) 7. TK (Georgia) - 19.5 Gabby Gonzales (Ohio State) Reilly MacNeill (Ohio State) Alexa Fortin (Georgia) Anna MacDonald (Wisconsin) Meghan Froemming (Georgia) 8. Arizona Storm (Arizona) - 18.0 Kate Grimmer (BYU) Shannon Shields (Louisville) Nicole Hoff (Long Beach State) Lauren Ohlinger (Boise State) Sedona Sherman (Pacific) Kylee Stokes (South Carolina) Jazmyn Wheeler (Uncommitted) 9. KC MAVs (Kansas) - 17.5 Caroline Crawford (Kansas - 2020) Amaya Tillman (Louisville) Ayden Bartlett (Louisville - 2020) Audrey Klemp (LMU) Brooklyn Cink (Missouri State) Kayley Cassaday (Tulsa) Ellie Bichelmeyer (Rice) 10. Minnesota Select (Minnesota) - 14.5 Isabella Ashburn (Wisconsin) Anna Wolf (Minnesota - 2021) Jasmine Mulvihill (Concordia) Emma Schmidt (Northern Iowa) Maizy Jackson (Northern Iowa) 11. KiVA (Kentucky) - 14.5 Cami Nazor (Duke) Rylee Rader (Ohio State - 2020) Emma Monks (Michigan State) Lauren Myrick (Lipscomb) Callie Martin (Wright State) Mary Ann O’Toole (Xavier) 12. WAVE (California) - 13.5 Morgan Lewis (Oregon) Emily Fitzner (Indiana) Olivia Schewe (Princeton) 13. K2 (Tennessee) - 13.0 Kayleigh Hames (Pepperdine) Kailey Keeble (Tennessee) Cassie Kuerschen (Tennessee - 2021) Caroline Bower (College of Charleston) 14. Circle City (Indiana) - 12.5 Caitlin Baird (Stanford) Holly Eastridge (South Carolina) Brooklynn Phillips (Lipscomb) Gretchen Kuckkan (Indiana State) 15. Wow, out of the loop of Atlanta volleyball. Had to look up the TK club since I knew the former A5 players...

Interesting. Surprised at no Cali teams in the top 10. Top Select, Laguna Beach and Sports Performance are some surprise omissions from the top (if you ran those those teams).

Is there a lot of others on Laguna besides Kipp that got Sr Aces or UA All-American teams 1-3? If Kipp went back to Momentous (where she was as a freshman), I’d think they’d be on there. SP has Landfair, but how many points were estimated for the top juniors? I bet Top Select may be top 20?

Interesting. Surprised at no Cali teams in the top 10. Top Select, Laguna Beach and Sports Performance are some surprise omissions from the top (if you ran those those teams). Laguna Beach has a Kipp and then several Juniors and a Sophomore. None of the Jrs made the prepvolleyball top 100. They came in at #17 (but there really isn't much difference once out of the top 10 or so.
Sports Performance came in #16 - as they have a couple outstanding Juniors.
Top Select depends on how to value Cabello (Texas). I probably undervalued the non-seniors a bit. Although #1 Muncina is loaded with Jr/So.
Mintonette - Ohio is in the range with Wagoner (Hawaii), Nwokolo (Pitt), Beals (Michigan), Hollingshed (Arkansas State), O'Reilly (Xaver), and Rammelsberg (High Point).

Metro VBC of DC has a lot of talented players. Many of them are D1 commits.

Kiva is far too low on that list. Prep volleyball has them 2nd PV is a subjective rating among many experts on who they think is the best team. This takes into account many intangibles that could go along with how a group of players play as a team.
Black Ink is an objective measure based on the sum of the individual player's projected talent or how they project towards the college game. It is not trying to measure many of the things that would be in the PV ranking.
I am not suggesting that black ink is better - just that it is a different way to look at the teams.

Black Ink is an objective measure of subjective ratings of projected talent. You've simply substituted PVB's collection of subjective ratings with a collection of the subjective ratings that comprise senior aces and UA all-american ratings. I'm not suggesting that this isn't a better subjective rating, but calling it objective is misleading.

To put Minnesota select as high as you have is scary. Lauren clark is gone. Emma Schmidt is a good high school player but not much beyond that. Maybe black ink didn’t realize that Clark has left for penn state already??

Minnesota Select is much different than any of the other teams on this list. They have 19 players that will be playing on the 18-1 and 18-2 teams - which can change during the year? I made the assumption that the 5 players scoring a black ink are most likely to stick on the 18-1 team.
Ashburn is a T50 senior ace who was 1st team UA-AA. I assume that Anna Wolf is very good as a sophomore??? After that - they have 3 players in the SA 126-285 range for next year. The bulk of their score is those top 2 players.

I'm not suggesting that this isn't a better subjective rating, but calling it objective is misleading. I still contend it is an objective measure of something (quantifiable and measurable). Now whether it means anything useful may be the question open to subjective opinion.
