Sorry, the cat's out of the bag already. I sure hope Minnesota brings its "A" game tomorrow against Yale!! ;D And that hostile crowd of . . . how many? ;D Okay, I just checked Gorf's post -- 380 in attendance today, so maybe 600 tomorrow if they're lucky? And then they'll have to travel all the way . . . back home! It's a tough, tough road to the Final Four for the Gophers! ;D

Heard Tree rolled her ankle but not sure how serious it was. It might be a lot tougher of a road 808 if their starting outside is on the bench with an injury. Also, I don't understand why everybody seems to be counting Ohio St. out. They're a great team that the Gophers split with this year--doesn't sound like an easy match to me.

That's pretty cool - isn't that at least double their season average?
Hopefully hosting these matches will get more fans in the stands for the team next season.

back from the match--had an awesome time, especially cuz i didn't expect yale to pull out the win ;D a few nervous moments watching the scoreboard though and seeing hawaii and colorado tied at 1-1...blah. just a few thoughts--i'll write more tomorrow... serving threw LIU completely off--especially gentil and #1 (who had a wicked jump serve). they never really got anything going until the third game--the second game was painful to watch. tree looked fine--she was jumping up and down after her injury and never left the match. as for the yale match...i thought they were outmatched but they started to dig albany's big lefty--actually they started to dig everyone--and despite not having a real terminator (though they seemed to set one girl more than others--my glasses were suffering though so i couldn't tell who it was) they managed to pull away in games 2 and 4. they should've won in three but nerves in the beginning of game three put them out of the running early--though they made a nice late run to get two match points. luckily they went up 20-10 in the fourth game and had enough to finish it off...they're toast tomorrow though... minnesota put on a clinic--tough serve forcing a bad pass to free ball to put away. LIU really didn't have a chance, and yale won't tomorrow--though it would be nice if they took a game ;D

That would be Kelly Bowman. KBow has become much more agressive with her jump serve over the past few weeks. Once in awhile she hits one way out but I like to see her go after it. I think her serve is even more effective given that the other servers, except for Paula, tend to serve up soft, short serves. Also, thanks for the report on Tree. Weren't sure how she was doing although I see that she did play all 3 games. They need her healthy. IMO, I think she was tentative after hurting her ankle early in the season and was starting to hit the ball better as of late. Hopefully, what happened last night won't affect her going forward.

Hopefully, what happened last night won't affect her going forward. Or backward. ;D I agree. KBow's serve gives the team some variety.
