There are some great players in this class for sure. Some to watch imo : Lib : laney Choboy. Hands down the best libero in this class I think. Absolutely unreal for her age. She would be a really good 2021 libero rn and she’s a freshman. Mia Maloney (younger sister of Kenzie) has impressed me as well. OH : Mele and Sydney helmers (6’3 from kiva 15 red) stand out the most to me. Mele is very advanced for her age. Helmers is tall, quick, and very fluid and athletic, she’ll be a big time recruit. MB : I really don’t know many MBs in this class but nya Bunton (6’3 MB kiva 15 red) is VERY good and has interest from top schools. That kiva team is very good, 3 potential senior aces on that team, 2 potential top 15 recruits imo. I am certainly interested in seeing the top players in terms of college recruiting this weekend among the 15U. Just knowing who to look for is difficult (for me). This helps a lot.

Harley Kreck: setter for Skyline 15 Royal is always fun to watch. She committed to Baylor before the rule change, but her she makes everything look so effortless. One of the most natural athletes I've seen.

I Believe both Laney and Mele play up so they won’t be on 15s courts. There are some great players in this class for sure. Some to watch imo : Lib : laney Choboy. She definitely needs to get up higher but I wouldn’t say just yet she’ll be a liability... I remember John Cook , last year, I think talking about how Foecke as a Jr/Sr wasn’t even touching 10ft. I think Mele may be the only Redondo kid on that Mizuno 16's team. The two best are LB Poly kids, (Faumuina, McGinest) several Mater Dei kids, then sprinkle in a bunch of high schools gives you the 16's team. Redondo was great cause Mele was solid, but the 3 Mizuno 18's players (Miner/Iosia/Ricks) were monsters for them as well. Also Mele is going to be an interesting recruit for colleges. Incredible arm and ball control, but I agree she's more 5'11" than 6'1" without the hops to go with it. She can play with anyone but touching below 10' will make her a blocking liability big time in the front row. True, and I think Mele could have a Foecke type arm. But 6'3" not jumping high is more doable than 5'11" not jumping high. Jury is still out, either way, she's a very very good player.

I really hope Mele works on her vert and be women’s just even an average jumper. Her IQ and control is far ahead of most her age. She’s very low error and very controlled. If she can jump by college she will be a very coveted recruit

Her A1 Select Red team won the HPCs including beating USA A1 Junior Red (two age groups above them). She's a great kid and has a bright future. (Wucherer also looking like a mini-KP in several of the clips)

Choboy is like the second coming of Kendall white if I had to compare her to someone, although I don’t think white was this good as a freshman.

Choboy is a very talented player and playing up greatly benefited her. However, she's been out for her club team's first few tournaments and is recovering from major hip surgery. We'll all have to see what that recovery looks like when she comes back.

Murray should play up a level or two. 15's is way too slow for her level.

Murray should play up a level or two. 15's is way too slow for her level. It would help her development for sure. In 15's she feels that she can just blast through every block which was exploited to Alamo's advantage in the second set on Monday when they blocked her several times and put most of her attacks back from the pins. Once she adjusted (finally) and started tipping over the block she picked up her kills. Nobody is stopping her at 15's when she comes down the middle though.

I thought she didn't really look ready or engaged for defense, though. It would probably be good for her to be at a level where she had to work harder to be successful.

A couple of non-west coast girls to watch for Chloe Chicoine - Circle City 16 Purple. Undersized at 5'9 but jumps 30 inches. Extremely intelligent hitter, has played up an age for the past 2 years once she moved to CC and played 6-ro both years. Ava TeStrake - switched from Dynasty to KC Power this year. 6'4 outside Already mentioned but not enough, Harper Murray - Legacy. Has grown tremendously both in size and in maturity since I first saw her at 12's. Brooklyn Deleye - Topeka Impact 15-1 Named to multiple all everything state lists following her freshman HS season. Ella Swindle - KC Power 15-1. great poise for a freshman setter Ashley Sturzoiu - A5 15 Bob outside. You notice her immediately when you see her on the court. Game is very similar to Chicoine's Skylar Bump - Far Out 15black. Frustrating setter who knows precisely when to dump and has great court vision. Led her HS team to state as a starter losing in the final match. Will probably be penalized for only being 5'6 I got a chance to see several of these players this weekend: Harper Murray - she is obviously very good. She also got stuff blocked several times in the semi's - but still prevails. I suspect she will be a star. Erin Kline - 6-0 setter with Legacy, have to think she is among the top talent for 2023. Ella Swindle - 6-1 setter, EVERY top 20 D1 coach watched her this weekend. She is very good. Ava TeStrake - 6-4 OH. Plays with Swindle. She is playing RS on club this year which may be her ultimate spot in college. 6-4 OH that terminates and is passable on serve receive as a 15 year old doesn't just grow on trees. Brooklyn Deleye - I am going to guess she is 6-1 or 6-2 and is a complete 6 rotation player right now. Could play MB, but is way to valuable long term as a 6 rotation OH. Playing for a 'lesser' club team out of Topeka Kansas that has turned them into a clear top 20 15U team in the country. Nya Bunton - 6-4 MB for KIVA is a force at this level.

The Libero (Choboy) IS amazing!!! I really hope her hip surgery goes through without a problem. However, the topspin serve by #8 at 0:38 was amazing as well. And the hit of the whole video with the most velocity was from #12 on the opposing team (white jersey) at 0:48. Libero dug it like a champ though. Super impressive play by these girls.
