Quite a few actually and some big ones! Exactly why you can’t get caught up in the PV lists. Between oversights, lack of coach pull/influence, under the radars, you can either miss someone good or over hype. I'm certainly not caught up on anything (I don't really care tbh), but there are some pretty well known impact players on nationally recognized clubs not mentioned, it's just a bit surprising.

Especially how prepvb raves about a lot of these players like Mele Corral-Blegogevich and Chloe Chicoine but leaves them off a list like this. Everyone makes mistakes but this is a weird one.

True, she is in the right position and it definitely goes off her throat. What impressed me was the fact she stayed in the point, showed some toughness, and battled back. I actually wanted to see more video and found several other clips. There's a lot to like for sure. The whole finals match against Chile was posted as well and getting to see unedited clips was even impressive. The team is legit and so fun to watch. A lot of these girls will be playing deep into the NCAA Tournament in the next few years.

Because they’re both blonde? They’re completely different players. Blonde hair aside, she somewhat reminds me of Hodson Hey that’s my comparison

Lots of club/HS coaches won't complete the questionnaires at all. And some that do don't do pump up their players as much as others. Unfortunately there isn't a great way to truly evaluate. Lots of girls who don't do qualifiers etc are never mentioned as much as those that do.

In fairness, they do disclose at the top of the article that they reached out to club directors to nominate girls from other clubs.

that swing at 0:48 is just her standing in the strike zone and it being more of a lucky bounce off her chest than anything else (the ball doesn't even touch any part of her arms). She's an impressive L for her age, surely, but this play doesn't highlight that. The Dig at 2:41 from that highlight is more indicative of her play as a defender to dig to target when the ball is traveling away from her and at 3:50 when the ball is swung at her and she's in a position to actually make a play on the ball. Amazing player though, for sure. Wouldn't really call it a lucky bounce as she put herself in a position to take the heat but her digging to target seen later in the video is great. True, she is in the right position and it definitely goes off her throat. What impressed me was the fact she stayed in the point, showed some toughness, and battled back. The team is legit and so fun to watch. A lot of these girls will be playing deep into the NCAA Tournament in the next few years.

We played a 15s club (one of the SoCal teams) that had 2 outsides listed. One of the outsides was great...could hurt you from all rotations, probably was set 60% of the plays. She was a difference maker. The other...didn't notice her, no impact on the game. We have played this team like 5 times over the last 3 years. There is no second outside that should be on that list...

yes but they’ve already come out with other notes on players of 2023. You would think they would add on and/or do better research! Again, especially for a publication that is charging for their content! Just makes everything else they post lose credibility which is unfortunate because I know some of the writers really do put in the work to make sure their articles are legit. She is great, no doubt the best 23 lib as of rn. I watched their match against Chile in the finals in ft Lauderdale this summer, and she was great. She reminds me of hentz in her athleticism and like hentz, I think she truly believes she can dig every ball no matter how good of a hit. She has the attitude of Kendall white out there as well. Colleges will be all over her, they all already know who she is

I don't think the club directors followed that protocol- at least not the North Texas clubs. There are some girls whose names are known by every 15s coach in the area that are missing from that list, and there a few I have never heard of that did make the list. I follow the club/high school scene for 2023s fairly close in the NT region, and I'm basically confused. 100% agree with Becca Kelley (Bre Kelley's little sister) being on the list though. I think this is only her 3rd year playing volleyball, but that kid is good!

The top 3 teams in the PV preseason 15U club rankings have a combined 2 players on this list of 317 players. 3 Texas teams in the top 20 have no one on the list. Kansas has 4 teams in the PV preseason top 17 teams - with just 1 player on the list. Both Illinois teams in the top 25 have 0 on the list. There appears to be some regional omissions.

This must have been thrown together quickly from whatever they could get from clubs. Of the "3" local to me, two are the same girl, listed once under her full name and once under her nickname. She's a good libero but no where near Choboy's caliber. And the other has potential but right now is just an okay player, no vb IQ. Both from the same club.
