I don't think the club directors followed that protocol- at least not the North Texas clubs. There are some girls whose names are known by every 15s coach in the area that are missing from that list, and there a few I have never heard of that did make the list. I follow the club/high school scene for 2023s fairly close in the NT region, and I'm basically confused. 100% agree with Becca Kelley (Bre Kelley's little sister) being on the list though. I think this is only her 3rd year playing volleyball, but that kid is good! This list has to incomplete at best? The top 3 teams in the PV preseason 15U club rankings have a combined 2 players on this list of 317 players. 3 Texas teams in the top 20 have no one on the list. Kansas has 4 teams in the PV preseason top 17 teams - with just 1 player on the list. Both Illinois teams in the top 25 have 0 on the list. There appears to be some regional omissions. in my local area, there is so much drama between "the" club and the rest of the clubs. THE club fills out every single thing that PV sends out. the others not so much as far as i can tell. This specific list said that girls could only be nominated by other clubs, not their own. It seems that THE club nominated and none of the other clubs did, as THE club does not have one girl listed on any years list......

Is this kid supposed to be a top recruit?

Yes. About a year or so ago, this kid (Angelina Sayles) and a handful of others (to include Mele Corral-Blagojevich) were being looked at closely by Nebraska. That is where I first saw her name. Since then, I have been keeping tabs on her and a few others just to see how they are progressing.
Personally, I think Sayles is a great player, can get it done anywhere on the court and is exciting to watch. In the front row, she has the power and the hops to terminate the ball effectively. In the back row, she has the speed to get to the ball and pass it with precision to the setter regularly. And from the service line, it is not uncommon to see her rattle off multiple aces in a row with her topspin serve. If you go to about 3:39 in the video (serving section), you can see the ball twist to the right quite a bit. That takes some power and finesse to do. Rarely do I even see college girls with topspin serves. It is mostly prevalent in men’s.
I am interested to see how her game will elevate once she hits 16. She is about 2 inches shy in the height/vertical department before she is hitting that magic 10 foot mark. 2 inches in a year is not unobtainable by any means. Girls usually get one last growth spurt at 16. Their power goes up a notch and their tempo also increases.

You post a lot of videos of her but mention keeping tabs on many and the mention of rattling off multiple aces in a row is something an insider would know. I suppose you could get that from a highlight video but when I look at them I don’t pay attention to the score when they serve to know how many in a row. It’s ok to talk up your kid or a kid you know but don’t understand the benefit of doing it on a forum. Also you have to watch more volleyball if you aren’t seeing many jump serves in juniors. As far as growth spurt, everything I’ve read in the past says a high majority of ladies hit that final height at 15.

Is this kid supposed to be a top recruit? Maybe as a DS. At 5'10 and not having super jumping skills I don't see her playing front row at a major school.

And given the video has no serve receive, half the digs are one-handed, and it shows over a minute of serving, not sure this is helping her case....

Maybe you should go back on this thread and see my posts of other players that are in the class of 2023. If you aren't watching highlight reels all the way through, I could understand you missing things. Maybe you should do so before you question other posters on this forum. On the topic of serving, I see plenty of jump float servers, but not too many who use the topspin. Jonni Parker from Penn State, Paige Jones from Michigan are a couple that come to mind that really know how to use it to their advantage.

Not just serving...top spin serving like never seen before. I thought this was a forum where folks build up players and appreciate talent. Not a place where player bashing is occurring at any level. Maybe this isn't the forum for you my friend. If you don't have something nice to say about someone, maybe you should keep your negative input to yourself.

I said you mentioned other players. I think maybe posted one video of another player or two if my memory serves me well, not 4 or 5 of just one player like we see with this one which is why it peaked my interest. Most reels if they are 3-4 minutes I watch all the way through, if I see a kid serving my point was I don’t look at the score in the video to see if that’s 4,5, 6 in a row. Again, not sure what part of country you are but I see very good top servers every weekend from 15-18 in our region.

This isn’t player bashing and anything to do with the player. It’s your idea that this 15 yo has a top serve (serving against other 15 yo) better than college players and most other 15-18 year olds. So the problem isn’t the girl, it’s your idea.

It’s your idea that this 15 yo has a top serve (serving against other 15 yo) better than college players, female and men and most other 15-18 year olds. So the problem isn’t the girl, it’s your idea. Here, let me repeat my comment from earlier: "And from the service line, it is not uncommon to see her rattle off multiple aces in a row with her topspin serve. If you go to about 3:39 in the video (serving section), you can see the ball twist to the right quite a bit. That takes some power and finesse to do. I said the way in which she is hitting the topspin takes some power and finesse to do, to not only make it dip quickly, but also putting english on it to make it curve like she is doing. To me, that is impressive that at 15, this kid can serve like that.
