She is ok, but from what I can see, only a front row player. I think the mindset is moving more towards 6-rotation players due to their versatility. Which I why I like this kid Angelina Sayles. Go to 5:40 of this video and watch her Special Plays and Defense. Front Row, Back Row and speed. Add in the serving abilities and she checks all the boxes....minus height. But at 14 she still has time to grow a couple more inches. I would take the Beach kid in the first video over this one. She's fine, but her touch numbers are low, especially for the big time. The Beach kid passes in a few clips and looks like she has a solid platform with time to get reps and a MUCH higher ceiling.

I guess we each see these kids in a different light. I mean there is a lot of "one trick ponies" out there. Seldom do you see kids who can do it all really well. For example, here is another 2023 hopeful, but by only looking at the video, all she can do is hit. Her hits are good, but I don't see any back row attacks or serving. Maybe whoever took the video forgot to include those clips. I do have to admit....I love the video production for the Sayles videos. They are entertaining!

Unless the kid has a serve like Micha Hancock, it shouldn't be in the video anyway. And a lot of prep teams don't really run a back row attack. This kid is fine, but I doubt will be at the top of her class. And the Sayles kid, again, is fine, but at the numbers she has, will not be at a high level program as an OH without significant increase in her jump touch. I don't think either of these kids will ultimately end up as top-end recruits.

She should develop into a great player. At one of the best high school programs and on a solid Aspire club team that won 2 open qualifiers last year and has multiple 6 footers touching 10’ +. She (and many others on that team) got lots of high level interest but of course now have to wait and see what happens with the new recruiting rules.

Yes, she is a bigtime 2023. You have a great eye. Not to be too snotty, but it doesn't take much of an eye to notice her. Every coach that matters knows of her. 6'3", Long, hangs in the air and hits some crazy angles. Also a serviceable passer for her age. Coincidentally has played some beach with Corral-Blagojevic(sp?). I know where I think she will go, where she should go and where I want her to go and they aren't the same. I think the fact that most top 2023 recruits are uncommitted and really don't know yet where they are going is a sign the new rules are starting to work for this class. So where do you think she will go, where she should go, and where you want her to go?

So where do you think she will go, where she should go, and where you want her to go? She will go to a school I don't want her to, she should go to a school I like, and I want her to go to a school I am learning to like. Obviously. Haha... I was wondering if you could be more specific on your predictions and name the actual schools.

Wisconsin needs to step up recruiting again here soon or they're gonna be in trouble in a couple years. Top 23s also not visiting Wisconsin much. Baylor really pulling in recruiting now. As is Indiana and UCLA. Its interesting to see how recruiting works in waves. Hell, we have zero 2022s committed. Some of us are having major bingo anxiety.

I think the mindset is moving more towards 6-rotation players due to their versatility. Which mindset is that? I am mostly familiar with the PAC, and if the mindset has shifted to a complete player OH, then why are Plummer, Lanier, and May AA OHs? I have seen each, multiple times, served off the court in serve receive. To me, having played and watched mostly beach most of my life, that is as awkward and embarrassing looking as Wilt, Shaq, Dwight Howard or Ben Wallace trying to make free throws in basketball.

If you are a coach and have one spot left on your team you are going to make wise decisions. Two potential players put side by side....both are just as good offensively, but one has crazy defense and a wicked topspin serve. Seems like a no-brainer decision to me on which player that same coach would choose.

Love that we are talking 23s but seems like we skipped right from 21s to 23s. Think the 2022 class is loaded with talent!
