I hope Cal takes out St Mary's for religious purposes; the Orange county Diocese just settled their cases for in excess of 100 million dollars. Go CAL and take the infidels out.

I hope Cal takes out St Mary's for religious purposes; the Orange county Diocese just settled their cases for in excess of 100 million dollars. Go CAL and take the infidels out. Well - I don't know about St Mary's. They're run by the Lasallian Christian Brothers and not some archdiocese. However - recently their President resigned because of a fundraising scandal. Someone pledged over $100 million for campus construction, and they went ahead with several projects. Then apparently the guy who made the pledges wasn't in a financial position to make good on them, and SMC didn't do the proper "due diligence" to make sure this "donor" was legit. So St Mary's is now stuck with the bill, which will likely come out of their endowment. www.stmarys-ca.edu/news_events/news/092104_president.htmlI'm just hoping for Cal to win because I want Cal to win. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Its all Karma swinging back at the certain schools, I am a huge Cal fan, that ballclub has more raw talent than any team in the Pac-10. Dare I say that they could beat the Wahine? I dare say it.

Well - dare I say it (BearCat wasn't around last night - maybe in San Diego?), Gabrielle Abernathy has always had her good and bad nights since I've seen her in a Cal uniform. When she's on (like last night) it's really hard to stop her when she hits the ball so hard and finds the open spot on the floor. She's also vastly improved her back-row play, where the coaches are comfortable leaving her in on serve receive. And that jump serve is downright filthy. Angie Pressey is a freshman, and she struggled in the first few weeks, as well as the end of the season. The most consistent players on this Cal team are Camille Leffall, Sam Carter, and (until her injury) Jillian Davis. Last night was the first time in a while I saw Camille without a dominant stat sheet line.

Bear Claw ..this is Mr. PG....thanks for the driving directions. It was a great match, though we would have prefered a different ending.

Bear Claw ..this is Mr. PG....thanks for the driving directions. It was a great match, though we would have prefered a different ending. No problem. I would have preferred a different ending tonight, but it just wasn't to be. I was happy to have seen two first-rate nailbiter matches on consecutive nights. Sorry I didn't stop and say hi. I was the guy taking pictures during warmups in the chairback section. I felt a bit embarassed, and there was this darn sea of orange to navigate through. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)
