USC hype video Cal head coach Meagan Owusu getting a shoutout from Holly McPeak and Anne Marie Anderson on Pac-12 Network Fantastic USC victory over UCLA. Despite no ref calls on UCLA/Sponcil slow setting. Tina/Abril 4th win this year vs. McNamaras. Hallgren/Poletto dominance at 3s. And Cannon/Slater comeback win vs. Sponsil. Great player but drags a bit in third sets.

Sponsil blocked twice by USC's Cannon at end-game and the last attack spiked out of bounds. 2nd game of the day, 3rd set. No attack. USC PAC-12 Champs. 18-21, 21-16, 15-12 I think you’re confusing yourself, that was Lily Justine receiving all the serves and getting blocked/hitting wide. Sarah Sponcil was the one setting(and I think she set Lily too tight the last 3 or 4 plays)

Bruins gotta do something to wake up before the tourney starts. SC deserves the 1 seed, and they also are currently holding the 3-2 win advantage against UCLA now for the season.
Muno/Van Winkle have GOT to be a lot more crisp at the 3s if they’re gonna beat Poletto and Hallgren. A good win for the 4s after being kinda owned in yesterday’s matchup, but just shows it wasn’t enough for only the bottom flights to win (and kinda feels like a smack in the face when SC is able to come back and sweep wins at the top 3 pairs - the 2nd time this season!)

"At the end of the day we want to win in Gulf Shores" dailybruin.com/2019/04/27/beach-volleyball-loses-close-match-to-usc-in-pac-12-championship-dualNo. 1 UCLA beach volleyball (31-3) fell to No. 2 USC (28-4) 3-2 for the second time this weekend in the final of the Pac-12 championship. Head coach Stein Metzger: "Obviously, we’re disappointed. But at the end of the day we want to win in Gulf Shores. That’s what’s important to us so we’ll take some good lessons from this." "When their top three play well, that’s a challenge for us," said Metzger. "We’ve got great fours and fives and that’s what has made us tough."

What is it you don't understand? Sponcil has yet to exhaust her 4 years of college eligibility. She can play in professional tournaments provided she does not take any prize money beyond what is needed to cover her expenses to play in those tournaments. BTW, USC's Tina Graudina is also playing professionally.
