Gregory did hit for a great percentage against Purdue, with 9 kills.
He SonofBarcelona, great report. But didn't Gregory get the start instead of Sanders in each game?

I think so. I was late and didn't see the beginning of the match. But I believe that's correct.

As a follower fo the Big Ten, I was wondering how some of you feel Purdue will fair next year. I know they lose McConahe and Poe. Will they be better or worse next season?

I lean toward giving the benefit of the doubt to Dave Shondell's ability as a recruiter and coach so I'm thinking they will continue to progressively improve as they have done in his first two years as the Boilers head coach.
Will will again be some unknowns at the top of the conference as the Gophers lose six players to graduation, the Buckeyes lose Stacey Gordon to graduation, I believe Penn State loses some seniors, Michigan State will have a new head coach.

Purdue has a great class coming in, although frosh don't often step right in and play. Not well, at least.
I'm impressed where they are in TWO years. You have to think it'll get even better.
Same with Iowa (that it will get better--can't get much worse).

Losing McConaha is a big blow to them. Hopefully they have a good player coming in to ease the loss. After their performance this year, a few prospective recruits should be impressed. Poe is a pretty good libero. It will be interesting to see if you can replace her. Liberos aren't hard to get but good liberos are worth their weight in gold so I really don't know. I assume Dildine will replace her and she played a good match. Serving wise shouldn't be a problem for her. How good is Lauren Berg, she didn't really stand out in the Hawaii match. Kim Cappa is gone too and I like her a lot. Very tough and fierce player. Purdue should be able to move on but she was still a decent player to have.
Jacques looked good. She played well from what I saw and she seemed real athletic and quick on her hits. I would expect her to mature even more next year. I liked Mader's serve, no aces but still nice. She wasn't that memorable offensively but she had three block assists. The Purdue block moves around well and forms tight. McConaha had a lot to do with that but I would assume Mader had much to do with it as well(Hard for me to follow who was blocking for Purdue). How good is Dobson? She didn't play in this match. Is she injured?

Is that because Hawaii was not mentioned in a post?

Man, they are going to get much bigger next year. If they keep up their movement and keep their ball handling and floor defense solid, they could have strong team by the end of the year. If I remember correctly, about two weeks ago I said that Hawaii would not make it to the Final Four and that they would only make it to the Sweet Sixteen because they played an overrated team that finished in the middle of a good conference. So far I'm right, hopefully my predictions follow through.
I think Wisconsin has a good chance at beating Hawaii especially if they can get their offense spread out. They're very dangerous if they can do that.

I don't think the Badger block will be anywhere near as effective as it was against Notre Dame, Kamana'o is that good at isolating her hitters. It will be a good match but I expect Hawai'i to advance.

Hey, that was way more optimistic than bomber, who predicted we wouldn't survive the weekend. I'm just glad to still be playing. I could care less if people think we will lose, I have that fear every time a match starts!!! Can we at least get to Texas/Stanford? Wisconsin is a strong and physical team but I'd like to think we can hang with them, even at their best.
