It looks like Redlands has not gotten around to air conditioning their gym. There are 4 foot fans blowing from each end of the court.

Redlands finished the sweep 25-15. I don't want to make excuses but at the same time I expect that the Beavers were tired after last night's 3 hour marathon.

Last night was a slug fest that was so entertaining to watch. There was another "slug-fest" as the UCSC Banana Slugs beat Redlands in the second half of the double header 3-1.

Krystyna Maruszko directed Caltech to a 2-1 record in league play this week as the Beavers dispatched Pomona-Pitzer and Occidental, 3-2 before falling to Redlands, 3-0. Maruszko notched 119 assists, including 53 against the Sagehens and 51 against the Tigers for a 9.15 assists-per-set average. Caltech returns to action Tuesday October 22nd hosting Claremont Mudd Scripps (CMS) at 7 PM Pacific. The CMS Athenas come to Pasadena off a 3-0 sweep of previously undefeated in SCIAC play Chapman.
