Bitter, party of 1.42 million Hawaii fans, your table is ready! Frankly, majority of Hawaii fans really were never confident, though very hopeful, to win the championship. Even when they won the Big West tournament, we never jumped into a conclusion that they will get the other title too. Everybody knew that winning against Long Beach AT Long Beach was a tough task. We believed they can do it, but anticipated that they could choke, which apparently somehow reflected. 99% on Hawaii fans were happy for Long Beach to win and also proud that Hawai’i has gone this far.

That crazy person does not speak for the entire Hawaii fanbase. Perhaps, but so far, the following have been spotted at the bar drinking piss water: wahinefanBarefoot In KailuafetchinCourtside5I remember when Hawaii fans were really classy (except for BIK, who's never been classy, but at least he's not stupid.) I’ll take this as a compliment. 😄

raian sounds like he’s been drinking with wahinefan. 99% of Hawaii fans are happy for Long Beach State? Wtf? I don’t know a single Hawaii fan that is happy that Long Beach State has won another title. I can’t stand Long Beach State and their obnoxious and dumb fans, screw um!

sheesh,
some of you
I realize defeat is bitter, but really?
I think LB fans were fully prepared for a result that might not be favorable, not that that would be pleasant - after all - the difference yesterday was 4-5 points, such as match point, if Rado can make lemonaide out of a lemon tight set, Hawaii might have gone on and won. TJ, as only TJ does, did make lemonaide out of lemon tight set to end it.
this narrative of TJ 'lack of character' is just so much BS
just listen to the guy, his answers are actually pretty spot on, not some PC bullcrap that many on here 'imagine' he should answer
the guy was home-schooled and a little introverted, it took him a couple years and some tough defeats the first two years to mature, he came in as a 17 year old.
I laugh when people will project how they would react to something, like they really 'know' exactly what they would do when put in someone else's shoes
a guy raises his hands in triumph is a 'bad thing' lol. go back and look at last year's NC point. Huus initially raised his hands in triumph solo, so flippin what! did Huus have an 'attitude'? yeah, he did...a winning attitude!!
these guys, including Hawaii, are in a zone when they are playing - they lose themselves for a moment sometimes - sheesh did any of you see Gage Worsely flex to the crowd at the Pyramid? lol, I thought that was wonderful - guys displaying emotion, yet some of you want to pyscho-analyze a couple of phrases or miniscule emotions out of one of the all time greats like it's some defienciency? just lmao
it was two great teams - Hawaii was 81-2 in sets, that's flipping 81-2 in sets versus anybody not named Long Beach, and both those were by two points 23-25 with a disputed call to SB, and the thrilling 30-32 to Lewis - aside from the matches vs. LB, that's about as close to perfection you could expect out of any team in History, in any other year they would have been Secretariat, they were a great front runner in matches, and only LB was able to run them down, and only because of the VB IQ and adjustments of what TJ, Ensing, and Tuaniga were capable while the ball was in mid-air - that's the difference, that's it. Hawaii is one of the greatest teams of all time, cursed by having to run against a team with one of the greatest MVB players of all time, and greatest teams of all time. yep, I don't think I've ever felt as bad for a group of opponents as these guys, it took a flawless ZERO error hitting performance by SVT to beat Long Beach this year, such was the challenge.
not that that makes the ending to the season any better - just sports.
TJ's issues? lol
TJ's issue is he saved the greatest play of his career for his last 6 matches!!

LOOOOOOOOVE TJ! What an amazing player! Wish he would play beach professionally! Attitude or not, who cares? He cares about winning and he does win. He lived without his family during his teen years so he could stay in SoCal to play competitive volleyball. If that’s not commitment, I don’t know what is. Give this guy a break! Congrats TJ!

It is tough when they are on the opposite side of the net as the team I am rooting for, but both are the kind of competitors that men’s volleyball wants on their team and needs to grow the sport. So fun to watch.

I'm assuming all the people complaining about TJ's "attitude problems" feel similarly disgusted by 90% of the professional athletes in the NBA, NFL, or MLB.

Well I wouldn’t exactly say 99% of Hawaii fans were happy. I certainly wasn’t one of them. More like maybe 28% of Hawaii fans. Warriors just choked when should have proved why they won the BWC. Wasted opportunity. They had their chances and blew it.

Lol! TJ will play for USNT and professional leagues in the coming years. Rado will not make it to the Bulgarian NT as there are compatriots of his in the same age bracket already playing professionally. No one will give a damn about this pitiful attitude of TJ (as you claim) in the pro-leagues and NT. What they do care about is his vball skill. None of his current teammates in Beach and NT has showed any problem to him. In fact Speraw is excited to work with him again. So instead of making an issue out of his character, better check yours because you are looking salty and bitter at this point. Right now, since TJ barely plays in matches for the NT it does not really matter, no one really cares. If this makes you feel better, then I understand. I do hope other UH players get invited too.
