I’m thinking it’ll be onsite. Jinjiang this week, Ostrava next week. NYC the week after and then it’s Warsaw. There’s no time.

Some hot story that Alexander Walkenhorst covered on his podcast yesterday: Behrens/Tillman would have been the #3 German team in this tournament and would have had an automatic Main Draw spot based on points. This would have meant that Bieneck/Schneider and Ludwig/Kozuch would have had to play Country Quota for the last qualification spot.
Why do I use "would" and "should"? Well, the German Federation have named Ittlinger/Laboureur, Borger/Sude, Ludwig/Kozuch and Bieneck/Schneider as "National Teams" which have a superior status and have some privileges. Behrens/Tillman are more or less a private team with less support from the German Federation. Since the German Federation didn't want two National Teams to play country quota they simply un-registered Behrens/Tillman from this tournament which meant that Bieneck/Schneider slipped into the Main Draw and Ludwig/Kozuch can now play in the qualification tournament without having to play country quota.
tl/dr: The German Federation cost Behrens/Tillman an automatic Main Draw spot.

Thanks for the info. What a %*$#ty thing to do. If the German federation wants to get proactive maybe fix their dumb mismatched teams rather than pushing out a team that earned their place

Also, get rid of the country quota and country limits all together. They serve zero purpose.

So Brooke will probably be playing AVP on Sunday then playing her CQ in Poland on Tuesday. Very possible her CQ opponents will also be playing AVP on Sunday or at least late Saturday in the contender’s bracket. At least Brooke’s partner will be well rested!
