I'm still trying to figure out why people "like" their own posts.

Why is Minnesota not getting more love??
They have the best group of 5 hitters in conference...very good libero
Is Miller really that bad of a setter?

If you are looking at the thread poll - if I had to guess, there are more Wisconsin and Nebraska fans on this board...of course that is purely conjecture.

Though I think both are ahead of the Gophers.

Though I think both are ahead of the Gophers. Why? Let's do a thought experiment.... All 5 of Minnesota's hitters would start at Wisconsin 1 of Wisconsin's hitters (Rettke) would start at Minnesota Nebraska would start 1 hitter (Stiverns) at Minnesota Minnesota would start 5 hitters at Nebraska If there was a train, a window, and a flashlight in the above, you'd have a better thought experiment.

If we are talking about Nebraska, the only player I'm taking off MN is Samedy.
Maybe you would take all of MN's hitters...not me.

Need to know conference schedule of all BIG teams....and then need highly intelligent person (BluePenguin) to analyze the schedules and provide a summary. Analysis doesn't play the game. The players will decide

Can we revote after non-conference? GO HUSKERS If vbsam16 makes a new poll at that point. I have the poll expiring right at the start of conference play, but I’ll change it to end at the beginning of non-conference. Then I’ll do another one for when conference play starts.

5th in conference probably = top 10 in the country - so hard to show disrespect by placing a team 5th or 6th.
Among Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska - I would be most surprised to see Nebraska finish 5th or worse in conference, yet I kind of think Minnesota and Wisconsin have a better chance of coming in 1st. Way too much depth in the league to think anyone is a lock for at least 4th or 5th place.
I can see Penn State, Illinois, and Purdue challenging even though it seems like Purdue is such a long shot to win.
How much better will Ohio State and Michigan State be?

If we are talking about Nebraska, the only player I'm taking off MN is Samedy. Maybe you would take all of MN's hitters...not me. Tough to say. Samedy and Stivrins are easily the 2 best among the hitters on those teams. I probably like Pittman and/or Morgan slightly more than Schwarzenbach at this point. I don't know Kubik, having never seen her play. While she may be the most talented of the OH options between the 2 teams, I may stick more with what I'd know. It's probably close between Sun, Hart and Rollins. Hart is the best hitter of those 3, but she doesn't pass. Rollins may be a better passer than Sun, but Sun's overall game is probably better. If I absolutely need a kill, though, I'd rather be able to set Hart than Rollins or Sun. Probably closer to a push. But, as I said in my original post in explaining why I voted Minnesota to win the B1G, I am more certain of what Minnesota's hitters can do than I am Nebraska's. Fewer unknowns (to an outsider) than Nebraska.
