I am on that train, too. I love Poulter's potential, but she's 2 years behind Carlini and 4(?) behind Hancock. It's a process and is noticable. And, I think Carlini and Hancock are just better than Lloyd at this point. Poulter forsure has a lot of potential on this USA team. I think she's preforming pretty well for playing in a tough position especially when she hasnt played with these hitters. I think a full year being pro will make only better mentally and get her used to setting players that she's not used to setting. Carlini and Hancock were not too hot when they came out of college either. Setter is a hard position for any player. I agree. I don't recall how long it was before Hancock really started to mature in her game, but it feels like Carlini is only just starting to come into her own. Her time with the national team last year was rough at times. I think, realistically, Poulter is likely looking at 2024 rather than 2020. Be fun to see where she is in a couple of years.

My hope for the finals is Hill, MBH, Foecke and Plummer. Plummer is not eligible to play in the VNL; she's not on the 25-player extended roster.

I'm not sure I'd want to see it. Sure, it would help prepare our players who go on to international and professional play, but that's a small subset. While some college players would adjust, I think many would have a hard time with it for the entirety of their career. I wouldn't want the college game to devolve into a shank fest.

Wow! Poland is up 2-0 against Turkey. Seems like same people are playing. Poland passing good enough. And I think their size is trouble some. US has some athletes with size like that! Just have to be able to pass!
I mean, say a front line including: Plummer, Rettke, Thompson (or even one of the 6'4"/6'5" lefties) could be pretty intimidating.
But now they have moved Karakurt to the left side starting the third.

Uh oh, seems like Poland not able to adjust to Turkey's changes - looks like they just flipped the opposite and outside hitter (Karakurt on the outside and Yilmez at opposite).
Now Poland up 2-1.
Can Poland close it out? They didn't look too good as the match wore on against the US.
