I thought I'd start it early. ;D
Advantage? They're 1-1 (both winning at home) this year. Gordon/Martin on fire... GymShoe (i'm just kidding. lighten up!) might be hurt?
Both fired up after winning in 5. But this will be a HUGE pro-Goph crowd.

If you look at the two matches they split this season I think the fact that OSU lost 2 deuce games in their loss and the fact that Maya Mapp was ineffective due to injury in that same loss (actually only played in 2 of 4 games) bodes well for Ohio State. Minnesota will feed off the energy of the home crowd but with a Final Four berth on the line the Buckeyes will not be at a loss for energy either. Lady Bucks in 4 or 5 as #10 secures POY award.

Paula is, I'm sure, hurt. I don't think she's injured. Minnesota in five. Sota! Sota! Sota! The Gopher win was more recent. These teams know each other, no doubt about that. But the Golden ones have proven they have the ability to adjust to the Gordon powered offense and deal with it. Will amount of rest be a factor? I know they both played 5 games, but Minn played later. Interesting on the stats that teams seem to be keying on shutting down K-Bow. Her offensive stats have been less than stellar in the NCAA tournament, but on the other hand, it seems to have opened up things for both Martin and the middles, Nelson especially.

Don't forget Van-Taatjes. She continues to be very underated. All she does it everything the team and coaches ask of her. She was packing a lot of heat behind many of her attacks against Georgia Tech. It ought to be an interesting match and I doubt either team will be feeling any intimidation from their opponent(s). Tree Bratford appeared to still be dealing with the injury (ankle?) injury she suffered in the 1st round against Long Island. If she can play at least as well against Ohio State as she did in the 4th and especially the 5th games against Georgia Tech I like the Gophers chances of winning the match. That said, the matches between the Gophers and Buckeyes almost alway seem to be very close.

I have to go with the Buckeyes in 4 as well. Too much Gordon, and Minnesota already used its glass slipper against Georgia Tech.

She's always hurt, she's got bigger guts than 99.9% of the people on this board. She'll rest when the season is over, before that, game on. Whoa, I almost misread that. Bigger guts, not bigger xxxx. Gotcha.

If we win, maybe you can email somebody claiming that it's unfair!

I'm not sure I like the Gophers chances either. But the difference between me and BiK is that my words come from my mouth.
My main concern is Bratford. I can't see how she's going to feel _better_ tomorrow night after playing tonight.
That being said, I'll never sell this team short. Their defense can keep them in matches by itself. If Byrnes and KBow are on tomorrow night, it could be interesting.
But I'll admit here that I won't be heartbroken if they lose, because I'm still going to Long Beach to watch more VB _and_ I'll get to watch Gordon play some more.
And BiK, the Gophers were in control of the GTech match. Game 5 was never in doubt. No glass slippers needed--keep 'em to wear with your green tutu.

Once the Gophers quit playing the error game, the match was never really in doubt.
The only reason Tech ever got back into Game 4 was because of that nice Moster service run.
Gentil came back and matched Moster with her own service run in game 5, which was the match.

Didn't I tell you not to overlook Tech? Anyways a win is a win so congrats for moving on. I do think Gordon and company will advance though. It's just my prediction. What do I know?
