Ok - We are hours away from the first final. Any predictions??? Let the guessing begin. My guess - Washington and Minnesota will win. The other two......I like USC and the last is too close to call. Wisconsin will be too tough on their home turf...............

Stanford will beat Wisconsin. The Badgers play some good defense but I doubt they will stop or even slow Nnamani down. It will be hard for Odenthal to have another big match, and the Badgers have to be a little tired after their 5 game match with Hawai'i. I don't think HCA accounts for much, at least I don't think it bothered the Wahine much. I think Stanford sweeps. I'm calling the upset. UCLA moves on. It's hard for any team to beat another team 3 times in a row. UCLA in a 5 game nail biter. Nebraska over USC in 4. Ohio State over Minnesota in 4. Final FourNebraksa UCLA Stanford Ohio State

This has nothing to do with who I think is better, just a gut feeling:
USC upsets Nebraska. I think USC's height will mean rallies. Long rallies are not the strength of either team, but I think USC pulls off the upset, mainly due their experience.
(Too bad for Long Beach if BOTH Hawaii and Nebraska go down.)
Minnesota finds a way to beat OSU. Key isn't Gordon. It's the other Buckeyes. Big question mark is Bratford. If she's sub-par due to the ankle, they'll need Byrnes and KBow to give them more offense than last night--and I think this happens.
Wisconsin upsets Stanford. This one could/should go the other way, but I have a feeling. Wisconsin in the final 4--who would have thunk it? They shouldn't have even been SEEDED.
Washington crushes UCLA. End of story. Even injured, UW is the vastly superior team.

They BLOCK well. Their floor defense is not their strength. Fortunately for them, Stanford's is worse.
Why is that? She'll be a major force when matched up with Kehoe.
Only way I see this happening is if ST and CM are both about 50%. We shall see.
Husker-lover.
Surprise, surprise.
It won't bother me for OSU to win. But I respect BOTH teams, unlike some people I know...

I told Charlie you were the UCLA doubter. Let there be no doubt about it now.

Who the hell is Charlie and why should I care?
But, yes, UCLA remains the most over-rated program in D1.

They had only 1 more block last night than Hawai'i had. It wasn't their block that gave them the match (except the last 2 points). Wack played outstanding defense. They won't block Nnamani, end of story.

She took a ton of swings against Hawai'i yesterday. I don't think she has another big match. I don't care who she is up against.

I don't think Morrison's or Tomasevic's status will matter much. UCLA is on a roll.

Not really. I think the Nebraska fans are arrogant and overbearing.

UCLA in an upset. This is their third time around. 1st time Washington crushed them, 2nd time around Washington won but UCLA really came on. Their is no intimidation by the Huskies. Stanford will win; the draining 5 setter the previous night by Wisconsin playing a factor. USC faces the toughest match of all the regional finals. I love USC and I pick them, but if they lose it will be a 3-0 wipeout, no in between. Minnesota over Ohio St.

This is what he said last night........ I've been waiting for awhile to say this. Where's the guy who was squawking at the beginning of the season that UCLA was the most overrated team in all of volleyball?UCLA played tonight like the team is capable of playing. They are finally healthy, although senior Heather Cullen still did not start. She did come in to play a critical role and no doubt will see playing time tomorrow as well. And, they have finally been able to go with the same lineup for a little while. There were a number of people who were not that surprised that UCLA won tonight - the people who are very familiar with the team.

Stanford in 4 (too much Nnamani et al)
In the match of the day, Nebraska survives in 5 (probably depends on who wins the coin toss)
Minnesota in 4 (just like last time)
Washington in 4 (just like last time)

You are trying to turn this into a east coast- west coast dissing war, but the picks could happen; this year has been insane.
