Years ago I heard that the first team to 8 in a set to 15 won 70+ % of the time. Anyone else heard anything similar?? I've heard similar, but that was during the sideout era. I'm sure it's higher in the rally era.

Ok, now it's over. Congrats to the Gophers, Final 4 bound again. Minnesota-USC started the season facing each other, now they meet again.

Lucky Minn playing at home. In a game 5 match playing at home is a huge advantage. OSU gave it their all, Gordon deserves POY IMO.
Just had to add the play by play guy was hard to listen to....

13 kills, 0 errors in 23 attacks for the Gophers in game 5. That's getting it done when it mattered the most. Stacey's fine career ends with 44 kills tonight. Another great match in this tournament.

By the quality of the matches in the regionals, I'd say the championship committee did its job very well.

See, that's what I'm talking about...how wants to see a rematch of one of the semifinals from last year? I want to see some different teams and match-ups when I go to the Final Four...not the same old ones! Oh well, Minnesota wins, so what am I to do?

By the quality of the matches in the regionals, I'd say the championship committee did its job very well. That had nothing to do with the NCAA committee.
