I wonder how many of those matches will be played in Hawaii? I would not be surprised if all those matches are at Hawaii. Hey it is a great opportunity to give those kids a vacation in the islans during the preseason.

Agreed. Congrats to Minnesota, USC, Washington and Stanford. Congrats also to runnersup OSU, UCLA, Nebraska and Wisconsin.[/quote] Right on, Ruffduh! We've come full circle. like last year. Next year we'll start off nice, then become sarcastic a bit, then call each other not a very nice persons, then again kiss and make up. (you can kiss my bottom though- hehehe only joking) ;D This board is programmed to change not a very nice persons to "not a very nice persons." Watch this: You can kiss my not a very nice person.

I'm thinking of just skipping all that prelim stuff, straight to an @$$%*!*.
Seriously, however, I look forward to seeing how Hawaii does against those teams next year. As long as they have 2K, they are going to be competitive.

Once again Hawaii has not scheduled UCSB They have picked teams that are easy to beat -- no way would Hawaii tangle with the Big West ;D

That would be really awesome if we can get Stanford, Washington, or USC to come out for a Spring match.
...just a thought.

I hope that one of those teams come in mid October/November or that Hawaii goes over to their home floor mid WAC season.

Yes - I read the whole article - just being a little sarcastic because I'm sick of reading about how they got screwed, who is hurt, who is sick, and now I'm already reading about next year..... Then why the heck are you reading the whole article then? It wasn't even brought up by a Hawaii fan. If you feel that way, I don't understand why you even clicked on this thread or the link. Besides, if you read the whole article then you would have seen that the comments by Shoji and the players were legitimate comments made by any team after a loss.

Did you read that whole article? Basically a could of, would of , should of type article. If only Prince were healthy, if only Hittle brought her libero jersey (wtf?) Hawaii would have won, and still touting Kamanao for POY I see. I guess if you read the article with contempt that is the way you would take it. The casual fan was not "shocked" when Hawaii lost. If anything, they were shocked at how well Hawaii did this year. Oh yes, because the tens of thousands of fans who follow volleyball in Hawaii are just soooo gullible.

Did you read that whole article? Basically a could of, would of , should of type article. If only Prince were healthy, if only Hittle brought her libero jersey (wtf?) Hawaii would have won, and still touting Kamanao for POY I see. I think this article is the perfect example of why many Hawaii fans act the way they do. The fans attitude is to a large extent media driven. When countless televison news stories, or newspaper articles reinforce the idea that Hawaii got jobbed in the seedings, or are a number 1 team, it's only natural for many fans to honestly feel the same way. Many of the articles are obviously written with a pro-Hawaii slant so it's not surprising that the casual fan is shocked when Hawaii loses. Hawaii is very lucky that the team is convered as much as it is, most other teams are lucky to get a one paragraph blurb at the end of the sports section (maybe even less). Sometimes I feel the media though does give the fans a false impression of how good their team is. It seems to me that someone is a little jealous as to how much the Wahine volleyball team is loved in Hawai`i and how much coverage and all the attention they get from the media. Of course many of the articles is going to be written in a pro-Hawai`i slant. It's a HAWAI`I NEWSPAPER what do you expect. How is the fans attitude media driven? The fans don't just go by what the media says. The fans actually go out and watch the games. They actually see what's going on, they just don't get all their information from the media.
