Everything Brown does is so pretty. Great hands, great feet, great posture, great rhythm to the ball... but she just doesn't/can't win. Good technique but too polite to be elite. Karch will like her.

Great win after some good pressure from Illinois.
CC was incredible tonight.

I think the ILL could’ve pulled it off if Quade was more effective offensively.

Good win for the Gophers. I hope both teams get healthy enough to play the lineups they would prefer.

Pittman wins it for MN! 25-23 Gophers ever consider doing live commentary on uTube or such instead of typing in all those posts? might be much better than the student-U teams offered on BTN. ppl do it for int'l soccer so nothing you have to invent.

Why doesn’t Hart play as much anymore? When she gets subbed out it’s because the gophers need better passing and defense more than they need Hart’s swing. She’s a liability in serve receive. While Sheehan’s swing is nowhere near Hart’s, her passing and defense are much better. I think she gets subbed out when she's making hitting errors, actually. They can only live with her passing if she provides offense. Oddly enough, as her passing has improved, she's started making more hitting errors.

First time watching them. This match has become terrible. Neither one is terrible. Miller is much better than McMenimen, but she's still not 100%. Good teams can make other good teams look sloppy. That was *part* of what was happening tonight. For the Gophers, I think the other part is that they are still adjusting to the lineups. I do like how they've worked through it all, save that Badger match. But, sure, burn this one.

In a way we're kind of saying the same thing... You take the risk associated with Hart's passing because of her tremendous swing and you put Sheehan in when the benefit is no longer worth the risk, so to speak.

I wish that both Quade and Hart were on their game. Matches where both teams are hitting under .200 are often frustrating for fans of both teams.
MN showed some grit coming back from down in the second set.
There was a stretch where Rollins let loose at the end of set 2 just after she committed a net violation, maybe at 21-21 Gosh, I wish there was more of that fire from her.
They continuously chime that they just play point to point. In the fourth set it looked like they were not playing to win a point... just not to lose it This low error strategy, as I continuously say, is a recipe for failure if your opponent is playing well. Luckily for them IL was just better and not 'on fire'.

I don't like the "high error strategy."
