Some teams have it--you can see it and even feel it. Some teams are just flat.
How much difference does it really make?

I don't know how much difference it makes, but from article to article the Wahine players mention it all the time. Basically, they don't have any superstars, but their chemistry makes the team super, to wit, 30 wins, 1 loss. (ok, bashers, let's hear you say weak schedule)

I agree with Pineapple. The Wahine this year have been a very "together" team. They obviously love and respect each other and it showed in their performance. They were a team that on paper at the beginning of the season, looked like they would struggle. Their "die hard" attitude and tightness kept them in some the matches and pushed them over the top.
I have not seen a Hawai'i team with this kind of chemistry and determination since the '87 Championship team. I hope their determination and drive carry on into next year.

I thought Victoria Prince was a first team AA? Again, you have no perspective on anything. One day, you claim they have two AAs. Next you claim they have no superstars and its all chemistry. One day you are claiming its a shame Hawaii has the toughest subregional having to play Colorado St. But then when they lose, it was because they weren't all that good. Whatever is the most self-serving to Hawaii, I guess.

Nobody said that Hawai'i had the toughest subregional. Actually the FAMU regional was the toughest subregional, by far. We didn't like the fact that Hawai'i got sent to CSU instead of hosting, plain and simple. And I don't recall any Hawai'i fan saying they weren't all that good after Wisconsin pulled out a 5 game victory against the Wahine. You obviously have issues with the Wahine program, that has always been very clear. Get over it.

These silly questions have been asked for ages, they are rhetorical questions…if anyone had the answers to motivation and team dynamics they would be extremely successful like…John Cook or Mick Haley ;D

Back to Back titles, and still alive for a 3 peat. I've continued to bash SC but they have more than proven that they have had the best VB program in the country over the past couple of seasons. Cook on the other hand, hasn't really done much since his rookie season with the Huskers.

I would put more emphasis on mental toughness and leadership over team spirit.. I would agree. Another important thing is trust. Does a player trust that a teammate will handle her part? Does a player trust that a teammate does all for the good of the team?

Pretty classy Ok, I am sorry that you had to see it, and I apologize to you. Agent got it coming; he intruded in a very cordial discussion about UCLA and called us "morons." I emphasize when we were having a very cordial discussion about UCLA. He was being a not a very nice person. Watch this: We move our bowels through our not a very nice person.
