I'm wondering if tomorrow I should follow the Huskies match on the internet in real time or wait until it is shown on ESPN2 to watch it.
What would you guys do?

I'd say follow it online because ESPN won't end up showing all of the match if it goes beyond three games.

In my opinion, if an institution picks a color as its mascot - especially when that color's name, when pluralized, heavily resembles an unrelated but common mascot - such an institution should have the humility and good manners to accept the inevitable syntactic confusions as they arise. Although one is certainly free to wonder at the number of persons identifying themselves as fans who commonly employ the incorrect forms, seemingly oblivious to the irony.

That's THE Stacey Gordon Cardinal to you, butthead. Oh wait, wrong school. Nevermind...

I am going to follow it via GameTracker but my wife is going to wait for the ESPN2 broadcast. I refuse to listen to it on the Stanford radio station (the only radio I have found for the game). It is not so much that their announcers are Homers (you expect that), but that they are incompetent Homers (based on listening to the UW-Stanford game in November).

They do suck.
Anyone know if this is going to be on the kzsu1 or 2?
the crazy chick on the kzsu1 feed was talking like she'd still be on air around 8:30 eastern.

Why are you trying to pick an arguement? You didn't get it? "Cardinal" vs "Cardinal s". The only "Cardinal s" in NCAA Div-I are Louisville and (Mick Haley's) Ball State. I guess it's somewhat of a vague reference, but I know it drives some Stanford people nuts when they're called the "Stanford Cardinal s". Certainly I understood he was a Stanford fan. I'm guessing cardfan15 must have been a big fan of Debbie Lambert.

You may not be aware that KZSU is a totally-student run radio station, not a bunch of professionals. They are all volunteers as well as full- time Stanford students. At least they are out there providing a free service, especially valuable when following the Cardinal on the road. (I personally found it more difficult to listen to the Minnesota goofy-the-clown Harey Carey -type radion announcer.) p.s. BearClause, who wasn't/isn't a Debbie Lambert fan?

Well - I think a lot of people were impressed with how good Aaron Levine was as a student announcer, and there was bound to be a drop-off unless they managed to find that one in a thousand college student who could pull it off. Also a joke. My guess as to the meaning of "cardfan15" is that he's a Stanford fan, and in particular a Logan Tom fan (#15). Debbie Lambert was the last player to wear #15 at Stanford before Logan Tom.

I am a huge Syracuse basketball fan, but you would never hear me say "I hope my Oranges can beat Georgetown tomorrow"
