I'm just waiting for our next MBU prospect. Plenty of left in the class.

I haven't even checked out the numbers/roster to see how many 'ships we'll have for 2024, and what are our need positions.
Honestly, I'm liking the transfer portal more and more over taking kids from high school. The transfers have shown in college what they can do (for the most part), and there's less time for them to change their minds (and de-commit) before their arrival on campus.
Still think we need a setter for 2024 to join 2023 setter, Ella Swindle. But, that's gonna be a tough order. Not sure what the plan is for setter Crownover once Saige and Ewert depart.
Hopefully, Selena Xu will decide to grad-transfer from Stanford after this season and give Texas a look. I see us taking an upperclassmen transfer setter for the 2023 season versus landing one from the 2024 class.

My money is on Favor Anyanwu. she is a great middle She’s slightly undersized but her athleticism makes up for it!

She’s slightly undersized but her athleticism makes up for it! Saw that she's a Texas state champion in the shot put. But, Texas rarely signs undersized middle blockers. From the video clips I've seen, I wouldn't say she jumps out of the gym (but video can be deceiving based on the angle). But, she led the metroplex in blocking this past season, I believe. She's definitely a power player with a lot of strength.

So, guess that's kind of what I was alluding to in my prior post about Favor. Does she jump extremely well despite being 6'1 - 6'2 ? What's her vertical jump?

One of my favorite undersized MB's at Texas was 6'1 Leticia Armstrong. Dang what could have been in 2006 had she and Brandy Magee been able to play all season.

Thanks. That video shows her jumping ability better than those I had viewed.

Lol I’m going to need some sort of news soon. It’s hard to watch other top programs get the top recruits and we’re just chillin😅

It’s hard to watch other top programs get the top recruits and we’re just chillin😅 I think it's good that Texas is likely encouraging their recruits to take their time (based on how late our 23s and also Devin committed) this isn't shade to Nebraska or Wisconsin or whoever, it's awesome those recruits know where they wanna go already but these are 16 year olds and it's a tough decision

Lol I’m going to need some sort of news soon. It’s hard to watch other top programs get the top recruits and we’re just chillin😅 That’s how it is. A combination of no room at the inn and the big recruiting push likely being the Minnesota match in Gregory in the fall. I’m not trying to tell anyone how to feel. If you want to feel antsy, or jealous, or nervous, or anything else, by all means go for it. But if there’s anything I don’t worry about with Elliott at Texas, it’s recruiting. Doesn’t mean I can’t be impressed with what other programs are doing. Nebraska in particular is on some kind of roll.
