Cook is adamant about wrapping up recruiting classes quickly. Obviously, he'll wait as long as it takes to land an elite talent he really wants, but he believes drawn out recruiting battles are only a distraction for the staff and coaches in preparing the team for the season. Just speaking to the setters, I wouldn't be surprised if he offers his top 2 or 3 immediately and the first one to jump gets the scholarship. That's always been his style, he did it last year with Reilly and Swindle. Urgency/limited time sales tactics can turn some people off, but it's tough to fault Cook when it's always worked for him. I don't recall that, but I'll take your word for it; not that it matters, but that would have been 2 years ago. My understanding was that Swindle was not offered by Nebraska because of the confidence level NU coaches had in landing Reilly early. Yes, 2021. They were both offered at the same time, then both went to the Dream Team camp in July of 2021. Cook said the first one that wanted in got the scholarship and Reilly committed a couple days after the camp, iirc. |

Volleyball gods just give me Spears as priority #1. The rest will fall into place but we absolutely cannot miss on Spears.

what are your top 3 dream recruits for 2025? 1)spears-oh (just your average rockstar), 2)glass-setter/opp (she should be ranked higher...love lefty setters that are super aggressive), 3)alevok-mb (she needs development but she could be special @ mbu)...we love our aggressive & physical play @ the net...LFG horns
