Don't know anything about these recruits other than y'all know their names and they must be significant!
However, to get all of them in for one of the biggest weekends for UT sports with a big name like Stanford playing at Gregory on the Sunday before Labor Day was a scheduling and recruiting coup.
I hope that out of 4 we make a big enough impression to get at least 1 of them. Been slow in exciting recruiting news the last 2 years.
Kahahawai is a super talented pin, pretty sure she can play six rotations, is playing OPP with the youth national team. Swindle is one of the best setters in her class, at least top 3. Byrd is an RS that is insanely physical, not sure if she also plays OH or passes at all. Bunton is an MB/OH, again, super physical. Any of them would be a pretty awesome get for us.

I feel like Kahahawai will be very needed if Logan doesn’t take her last year next year. I think Swindle is priority numero uno though as that would be the last year with Cabello/SKT/(possibly Gabriel?) and she is a GREAT setter. I don’t know as much about Byrd or Bunton though!

Byrd is currently putting up 6.4 kills per set while hitting .581 for her high school team. She’s playing all 6 rotations and averaging over 3 digs per set. And Nya plays with Sydney Helmers and is probably the best middle in the class of 2023. Both are 6’4” and extremely physical!

During warmups for Stanford game the 4 recruits were on the bench watching the players. Apparently, Kahahawai is in the grey. Then when the game started, they over to the end where Texas usually hosts their VIPs I'm not sure where the 4th player went. But never saw any emotion from Kahahawai. Like she was intently trying to look indifferent. The other two were up sometimes and swaying to some of the music.

I think the fourth one is in the row behind Bunton and Bryd.

Really hope seeing this win and seeing Chiaka Obogu honored for the Olympic gold leaves a big impression on the recruits.

The last time I saw recruits in person was when in attendance for Texas' 2012 regional at Gregory; they would sit right behind the Texas bench in the lower bleachers. Now they sit them in the East stands behind the visitors service line?

Byrd visited Wisconsin last week for her first official visit; this weekend it was Texas.
