Was surprised to see the Dripping Springs High School team including Henley Anderson & Callie Krueger lose in the second round of high school playoffs last week. Did anyone watch and see what happened?
All other links about the game seem to be behind paywall.

There's so much potential with Spears and AVW for next year. We likely have a spot open for OH with Lauenstein and Devin having a higher chances for the other two spots.

I think most are expecting/predicting Vander Wal will be our 6-rotation OH in 2025; I guess that role could fall to an incoming transfer.

Texas roster currently sits at 20. by my count, 5 folks are on their last year and the recruiting class sits at 5. with the upcoming roster restrictions and transfer portal nonsense, something has got to give.

I think most are expecting/predicting Vander Wal will be our 6-rotation OH in 2025; I guess that role could fall to an incoming transfer. I kinda expect it to be a transfer. if not, I think we could see Devin be a 6ro opposite and then maybe we run a double sub for our outsides and have AVW and Whitney both being DS’d. part of me gives the 6ro advantage to Whitney if an outside is going to play 6ro and we get no transfers. seems like they’ve really emphasized her passing in practice from what we can see and she was getting ample back row attacks in orange/white |

You're assuming nobody transfers out, which I think is unlikely. But in that scenario we'd probably be pushing out two walk-ons, likely Kenna and Brennan IMO (no shade, but if choice have to be made...) |

I don't watch prep, but from the youth/junior national team events, I don't remember AVW being the best passer. I assumed she'd start but be DS'd in the back row. |

She might have been playing only back row because she still wasn't 100% healthy (to swing). And, now injured again. So, she arrived in January 2023 and hasn't been able to stay healthy. Not sure you can count on her to be a starter in 2025 due to her injury situation thus far. |

But, neither Whitney nor Devin has played back row up to now in their college careers. I could see Devin before Whitney, but even Devin hasn't been able to contribute much with ball control. |
