I mean they are being recruited by Baylor, Texas A&M and much more schools. I watched some video on them and they dont seem like the typical players Texas goes after. One is a outside/middle and the other is a setter. The setter looks pretty good and has good location and the other one looks good as well. Very good at the slide attack but only 5'10 so very undersized for a middle. |

Jerrit and Tonya are not leading the entire camp onto the field of DKR as a fun outing. That's fullblown recruiting. Thats exactly what I was thinking. It was only 4 girls who went to the field. They also looked at videos on the history and success of Texas as well as locker room tours and even did a mini workout with the Texas athletic trainer and so much more. Those 4 players were definitely being recruited. If those players are being recruited by the likes of A&M and baylor then I am sure they are not at Texas just for a camp. I am currently trying to find the names of the other two girls so if I do I will bring them here🤘🏽 I don't have much of a dog in the fight but all the things listed are included in the clinic so whoever attended was going to do all of the things listed. Considering the timing date wise in respects to tournaments going on last weekend of top teams, it is a strong possibly it was a low turnout. texasvolleyball.com/events/event/spring_clinics/I don't pretend to know everything about recruitment but have been around some really good athletes in numerous sports including volleyball. The thing I've experienced is a large majority of 2021 volleyball players who would be recruited by the likes of Texas, A&M, Baylor and many other top Power 5's (which I would consider the 3 being listed) are either committed or waiting on college admission to particular institutions. Again, that's not to say these girls aren't being "recruited" by the schools listed but top 2021 recruits wouldn't need to attend a Feb clinic unless they were late bloomers. Also, doing a quick search we know Texas doesn't have any 2021 commits right now and the available scholly numbers are minimal for that class so walk-on could be an option. But looking at Baylor, for 2021 they have 6 commits and 3 2022s. A&M currently sits 3 in that class. So while I will agree they could be recruits, being on campus or at a clinic in a golf cart or on a football field doesn't prove that to be true. I could be wrong but many who understand recruitment also are aware majority of 2021s for those type schools are off the board unless a) the school missed out on so many recruits they have to keep going to next in line. b) walk-ons c) late developers and shown tremendous potential to be really good with the right training. |

I don't doubt many of the points you make. I can say that my daughter has been at the UT volleyball camps (plural) and uhhhhh....she didn't get the level of personal attention that the pictures seem to indicate.  |

My assumption is the top players and top teams were involved in that over the weekend since it's based on performance. In the link I shared it listed what all would take place during the clinic which included all of those things. Someone did mention previously and I agree, many of these one day clinics have become a type of unofficial visit but under current rules that would be 2022's and younger. 2021s can do unofficial and official visits so again, the need to go to a clinic wouldn't be necessary...they could just do an unofficial or official visit and see the same stuff if they were legitimate recruits. It is what it is...I'm just looking from a different angle but when you added their size and positions it even makes you ask yourself...does Texas recruit 5'10"/5'11" middle blockers and outsides? Baylor? Maybe but they also touch 10'9"! |

I do seriously doubt that Texas will only have 4 girls show up to a camp they host regardless of what's going on. If they are being recruited then I just dont see them as just players who came to a camp with no intent behind it but who knows you may be right🤷🏽♀️ as far as the 2022 recruit I mentioned, I know for a fact she is being recruited by Texas |

I guess coaches see something different than what we are seeing I'm surprised that they are playing for Bandits if they are being heavily recruited. Don't get me wrong, it's a good club with some very good players, but I don't think any of their teams play in Open for NQs. You would think that the schools recruiting them would like to see them playing at another level. |

You would think that the schools recruiting them would like to see them playing at another level. Thought this too but didn’t know as much about the program as those who would be closer to the situation but seeing the schedule posted on the Instagram link they don’t play open which is telling for people being recruited by the top 2 teams in Big 12 and really good SEC team...we’ve been to enough qualifiers and nationals to know where these coaches hang out. Everyone can’t do it but we know kids who are really good who will travel 3/4 hours round trip to play on good open level teams knowing the benefit outweighs the cost. |

http://instagr.am/p/B79BRGtFKig Another recruit is marianna Singletary. She is 2022 and is an outside hitter/middle blocker but I believe she will be better at the middle position. She was named as a prepvolleyball all American and only a sophomore!! As you can see from the video she has a HEAVY arm🤘🏽 Saw her a couple times during NIT. She’s gonna be really good. She needs work getting to the pins to block in time but that’s expected with this age group. The most important thing she needs to work on is her court presence when she makes a mistake. |
