Didn't say this was new, was addressing the poster that commented the video was "so extra". What is new is the NIL money. Student athletes arriving to campus with an established brand and following will have an advantage over those that do not.

Hey if she’s a legitimately hard worker who wants everyone to know that, more power to her, I guess it’s just hard to conceptualize an environment where volleyball athletes announce their commitments in a showboating way. I’m all for the sport getting the same level of clout as Football players but sans the inflated egos |

Folks just love to complain/criticize on things that have absolutely ZERO impact on your lives.
None of these recruits are forcing you to watch their commitment announcement videos or other social media updates. Yet, you can't help yourselves. YOU are voluntarily making the choice to view the updates. So, deal with YOUR choices.

There are some guys that probably make some decent $$ putting together commitment videos for football recruits. Many of those run 5-10 minutes in length. |

Was gonna say, it's pretty common. I'm kinda surprised more volleyball players don't do it. I believe it will be more common now in volleyball with top recruits now committing in their junior year as opposed to many previously committing in the 9th grade and some even in the 8th grade. |
