FWIW, re when a school/program can announce an athlete is joining a program (I’ve had kids do it both ways):
If the athlete signs an agreement to receive ATHLETIC aid for any year (even later years), the program can announce on signing day (even if the athlete is not yet admitted to the school).
If the athlete is receiving no written promise of athletic aid, or is receiving academic or some other financial aid, then the school can announce when they are officially admitted to the school (usually in spring).
If memory serves me correctly, we did have to pay the “matriculation fee” before the second type of announcement. The first type my kid hadn’t even finished the application in November, but the school announced it.

If you look at the videos of the U18 world competition from a couple of months ago you will see Mendelson and Tevin standing next to each other on the floor and in the huddle. If Mendelson is 6'5 then Tevin is every bit of 6'3 if not 6'4. (I have a lot of time on my hands).

Was that in the 6th or 7th grade? Pretty sure Molly was 6-4 or 6-5 when she was freshman in high school. I have many doubts that Texas would have been recruiting her heavily if she was only 6 foot. |

My guess is that whoever created the tweets and official release probably copy/pasted Marianna's 6'4 height to Devin's, and didn't revise it to 6'2.

Wait, Devin K is 6-4? She grew 3 inches in 2 years? If she’s 6’4 then Murray is 6’5 and Mendelson is 6’7. . . During the U18 world championship in September it was easy to compare heights… DK was no taller than Stucky who is listed at 6’2. She appeared to be of equal height as Reilly who is listed at 6’1. We all know these listed heights are mostly rubbish, but listing DK at 6’4 appears to be another level of hutzpa. What does it matter? She can play at a high level. 🏐 |

Yes it is easy to compare heights. Here's a video of the aforementioned Tevin, Murray, and Mendelson. If you look at the tape from from 25:25 to 25:50 you get a great comparison. Murray is listed
on the roster at 6'2. If Mendelson really is 6'5 then Tevin looks to be just a shade shorter than Mendelson but at at least 2 inches taller than Murray. Like I said before, if Mendelson is 6'5 then
Tevin has to be close to 6'4.
