Jerritt Elliot announced it before the last home game in the Point Texas club meeting Nya and Byrd redshirting? 1. He can't talk about recruits by name until they sign, in Nov of 2022
2. He did say, "We have a very solid classes coming up"
3. He mentioned we've got a great setter talent coming
(3) surprised me because Tonya (who is the recruiting coordinator) won't even talk positions.
4. I have no idea
What happened with Molly was, he came into the club like 10 minutes late. He strode in, went up to the podium and said, "Sorry I'm late. I got caught up in some stuff I had to take care of. Good news, Molly just told me moments ago that she's coming back for the next 2 years'

Molly was very impressive in the middle against Tech. Since she’s not a thumper, when she’s in the middle I think she has more shot selection which was her strong point to begin with. On the right she can only go line or cross court, in the middle she has more options for placement. She’s not the quickest to the pins on defense but some of that is just repetition or lack of.

Wishful thinking, “Fields and O’Neal come back for 2023 and Texas wins back to back to back Titles” I Don’t think they will, but I could see it if they can earn comparable NIL money and still spend an extra year stateside as opposed to going overseas.

Also, they're smart women. They know volleyball isn't forever - if you can get a masters' on scholarship, why not have that in your back pocket?

As reported in the 2022 Transfer thread, UCLA Libero, Zoe Fleck has entered the transfer portal as a grad-transfer. Someone posted that she started following Texas and Wisconsin on social media. volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/87102/d1-transfers-2022?page=9If you recall, she left UCSB two years ago, and Texas received an official visit. Time to start sending out positive thoughts; she'd be a huge addition (and missing piece) for our 2022 national championship hunt.

Grad student exception? Covid exception?

Grad student exception? Covid exception? You can transfer as many times as you want. But, based on each sport's rules, you don't always get immediate eligibility; volleyball was one of the sports that did not require a sit-out season, and you would be eligible immediately after transferring (if it was you first time transferring). The recent one-time transfer exception rule was passed (mainly for sports like football and men's and women's basketball) in order to provide immediate eligibility; this required student-athletes who wanted to be eligible for the 2021-22 season to enter the transfer portal by July 1, 2021. As long as you had not transferred previously, immediate eligibility was a given. There were exceptions such as if you had transferred previously, but sat out a season based on prior sit-out rules. If you didn't meet those requirements, you had to submit a waiver if you wanted immediate eligibility. Texas softball signed a grad-transfer pitcher out of Fresno a few weeks ago; she had already transferred once (from another school to Fresno). So, she will have to submit a waiver in order to play this coming Spring; most expect her to get it since she is a December grad-transfer (and Fresno fired their coach early in the summer due to alleged verbally abusing players). To be granted immediate eligibility for 2022-23, a transfer must enter the transfer portal prior to May 1, 2022 (most sports except those which still haven't ended by that date like T&F, softball, baseball, tennis, etc.). So, Zoe would have met this requirement. Not sure if she will graduate in December 2021, or until Spring or Summer 2022. Regardless, I believe she would have to submit a waiver for immediate eligibility next Fall.

Zoe Fleck will transfer to Texas to play volleyball! she will be a great addition to the team, and a good teammate for our current littles to learn under! The only way we don't get her is if she goes pro, but if that was one of her main options, she wouldn't have entered the portal! Sending out positive energy!

I think most of knew this was coming but just thought that I would post it here! 3/4 recruits playing in this game in late December! http://instagr.am/p/CXB5Zy0Fd9N I didn't even know this existed. Cool that someone was willing to front an all stars tournament for volleyball players like they do for football.

With Butler and Petersen leaving, there’s opportunity for Texas to pick up some good transfers in the portal. Looking at Hord as MB and Hampton/Fleck as Libero. Lucky to even just get ONE.
