I do know not if any of you guys follow asjia on social media, but she posted a tiktok and a bunch of comments were sad because they thought she was leaving, but she did comment that she has TWO more years of eligibility to play 👀 because she got into a masters program. If this is true and we have asjia and molly for 2023 then that will be amazing for that big freshman class to learn from both of them. I was silently wondering if Asjia would take that last year that she got from her freshman year redshirt. That would just be incredible if she did. Maybe she can be our Libero her last year ha ha ha

Why wouldn’t an elite Libero want to transfer in to Texas? They’d be in a stand savior. Go down in history. Hitters who? Come in and save the day! Literally. Don't we cry about Morgan not coming back for her COVID year like every single match?! Imagine Fleck...

Brynna DeLuzio, a libero who can also set, from Colorado just entered the portal. As libero this year, she had 500 digs in 29 games, including two 30+ dig games and six more 20+ dig games, coming out to 4.67 digs per set. She’s somebody Texas could really look at considering they like Nalani’s ability to set.

She’s a better digger than passer

Does she take up a lot of court? defensively, she’s off the charts. but her passing has never blown me away, probably due to the fact she has had to play setter so much in her career (which obviously takes you out of the passing pattern). she passed a 2.17 on the year though. for comparison, Nalani passed a 1.98 and sydney passed a 2.01. so while not significantly better, a .1-.2 difference is pretty decent sized on that many balls.

I see. In my honest opinion I think she might be a good 3rd option, but we really need to grab fleck or hampton in the portal because those two are high quality players that can help our current passers with passing/defense. I think that hampton is the better passer but fleck is the better defender.

Fleck is obviously priority #1 with Hampton right behind, but it is nice to have a third option!

I think that hampton is a good options because she’s played 4 years in the big 10 and they have arguably some of the best servers in the country in the conference so just the experience alone would be a huge get for this team.

Fleck is obviously priority #1 with Hampton right behind, but it is nice to have a third option! Hampton kept her offense in system on 54.3% of her passes. 61% for Fleck (the match vs Wisconsin is all 0s for both teams). 56.7% for DeLuzio but her range isn't great in SR. Defensively DeLuzio is good for a setter but struggled against the better hitters. Part of the reason she led the Pac in digs is because her pins couldn't terminate, so she saw a lot more balls in transition than most of the other bros.

You won’t get any argument from me that both Fleck and Hampton are better, just nice to know there’s a really solid third option out there.

PrepVB just came out with Top 150 2024 recruits, who are sophomores this year. Their names are gonna be announced pretty soon. They will most likely announce their colleges start mid next year right?
