I know a lot of people are buzzing about Lauenstein as a potential 2024 transfer, but I think after this season there could be some huge transfers up for grabs. If we’re looking at opposites, it’d be interesting to see if veteran players like Londot, Rutherford, or Lewis (Oregon) enter the portal for their final year, or the contrary, a youngin’ like Kennedy Martin could surprisingly enter the portal (given Florida’s string of bad luck this season). Who would JE go for? I’d prefer any of these players actively playing this season over Lauenstein. Also, given how loaded we are now and will be in 2025 (#1 recruiting class), would we want a player that back logs the roster even further for that single OPP position, or do we go for a veteran player with 1 year eligibility left to round out the 2024 team? If the latter, Londot, Rutherford, or Lewis would be better than Lauenstein. With the addition of Ames, securing a proven opposite would be huge for Texas in 2024. Like many posters have said, I do think Kahahawai will transfer out after this season, so there will be at least one spot (possibly more) open. IDK if I would want Londot. (LOL, like it's up to me) She's super hot-and-cold. Luckily we've played her so much she's a known quantity to the coaching staff. Rutherford, on the other hand. . . Not sure if Martin would enter the portal. She seems happy at Florida, the team was firing on all cylinders before Stucky's injury. Sophie Fischer is also on my wish list Londot is averaging 4.86 kills per set, 2.5 digs per set, and is passing over a 2. she's an incredible option. i really dont see rutherford entering the portal from kentucky but i guess crazier things have happened. fischer would be #1 on my list though if she were to enter the portal. granted, she's already transferred once. she might like the freedom georgia gives her. hell, i wouldnt be surprised if they found a way to have her on the court as a 6ro middle next season

That's been a weak position for them too.

Would Ndiaye ever come home? She seems to be tearing up this year with the coaching change.

She can go off, or she can error a lot. What does the kills per set stat look like when you focus on the top-25 opponents? Would be interested to know.

That's been a weak position for them too. she was trained as an OH/opp mostly at Kentucky, sometimes in practice she would play middle for a few rotations - but she wasn't going w them when positional groups would break up. I can also say with certainty that she was a beat behind all 3 of the other middles at the time
