C'mon. This is a transfer thread, not a tournament thread, and y'all just started moaning and groaning about what PSU does and doesn't have. This is not other posters' fault! So let me follow my own advice: I have been hearing lots of rumors about transfers coming out of some Big 12 schools that did not make the NCAAT. Keep your 👀 on the Sunflower State. So Kansas’ roster currently has 7 people on it. Is this from transfers or just an error?

Looks like Kansas will be hitting the restart button.

where does this end? too many transfers and majority everyone looking for a scholarship. what are their parents teaching them? Dumb Generation with that said, they should at least put what position they are in the portal

Dumb Generation with that said, they should at least put what position they are in the portal Maybe they are learning that they shouldn't stay in a place just for a sport and they should go where they are going to have a college experience they enjoy? I mean, what an awful lesson to teach them. As for the entering their position: that is on the Compliance Office, as they are the ones that actually do the data entry.

Dumb Generation with that said, they should at least put what position they are in the portal I'm trying to figure out what your argument is. Should they NOT be looking for a scholarship? If not, then why do you think that? Also, athletes are not in control of what information is put into the portal (neither are their coaches). The NCAA has decided what information goes in, and usually the university's compliance person inputs that information.

To clear up any confusion...
Information that is available in the portal: - NCAA ID# - First/Last Name - University attended (with Division I/II/III, and conference) - Email of student-athlete - The following Yes/No questions: - Student wishes to be contacted by other institutions - Is the student transferring to be a graduate student? - Is the student-athlete receiving athletically related financial aid during the academic year? - Was the student-athlete recruited at your institution? - Sports (participated in at the university) - Is your institution restricting contact with this student? (Yes/No, DII/DIII only) - Permission to Contact Restrictions (open-ended): - Some institutions will use this part to say (Restricting contact with other schools in _____ conference) - Comments (open-ended): Used for additional information regarding contacting the student-athlete. Might say they intend to enforce the "sit-out year" for transfers within conference - Date initiated

- Is your institution restricting contact with this student? (Yes/No) - Permission to Contact Restrictions (open-ended):     - Some institutions will use this part to say (Restricting contact with other schools in _____ conference) I’ll add that I BELIEVE the contact restrictions are only applicable to D2 schools. D1s can try to make a kid sit out a year, but I don’t think they can restrict contact once the kid is in the portal.

Some notable omissions.

How do we know we can trust you with this type of sensitive & confidential information? If I told you I think I would probably be breaking the VPPAA (Volleyball Players Portal & Accountability Act) Law and the last thing we want is the NCAA sniffing around Volleytalk! deja vu!
