Eggleston, Fields, and Williams (maybe Para) could all start for any program in the country immediately. If Davis had to sit behind Sun, Kubik, and Sweet what makes this situation any more advantageous for her than Nebraska from a playing time perspective. There is little to suggest that Williams would start at any program in the county immediately. She was hardly even the best OH in her own age group last club season, let alone competing with players with collegiate experience. She would start ahead of the recruits going to your school based on her rankings.

I wonder when Capri entered the portal.... considering Nebraska wasn't eliminated until Saturday.

I wonder when Capri entered the portal.... considering Nebraska wasn't eliminated until Saturday. A player like Capri wasn't ever really in the portal. She'll have had an intermediary gage interest when she decided she wanted to leave. Everything will have been in place and then they'd have waited for both Nebraska and Texas to be eliminated. The portal doesn't function the same way for players like that.

Players are required to inform their current school of their desire to transfer, and current school must enter them into the transfer portal within 48 hours.
Capri Davis visited Texas (not sure if officially or unofficially) on 11/23 for our home match against Kansas; so, she wouldn't have been able to do that if she hadn't already been in the portal.

A pin hitter who can’t pass - so Texas. Signed, Alexis Hart
I don't know if any poster can drop a savage, smooth clapback like you. Honestly in awe every time. Kudos.

No violations occur. No prospect ever communicates directly with a school until they are authorised. But when the time is right it happens very quickly.

It is 100% a violation to talk to a club coach (or any 3rd party) about a transfer before the athlete is in the portal.

As I said, no violations occur. The portal is a shop window for players. Players with a national profile don't require that exposure. For them it's simply a box that must be checked. Davis to TX hasn't been a secret.

I'll need the tea on Davis' 'indefinite leave of absence' from the team, thank you.

Well it’s a good thing a subjective ranking in high school doesn’t actually determine the quality of a player or the results in college. Regardless, making a claim that a high schooler would enter college and immediately start for any team in the country (which is what the poster said) needs some serious backing. Madison Williams is not THAT good.

With respect to Capri Davis she is friends with TX players. No violation there. Wish her the best.
