Madi Robinson choosing Utah reinforces my “bad feelings” theory. Like it was more about sticking it to BYU than getting to play. BYU to Utah, Utah to BYU transfers don’t happen very often. Last one I remember is Sunny Tonga. She transferred to play with her sister at BYU. Probably early 2000’s. I’m sorry to see her go, but didn’t really see ever being their go to hitter. She did an admirable job playing wherever she was needed. Surely she will redshirt next year? No OH spots next year at Utah with Drews, Weatherinton, and Koerber all returning. Oh, and Megan Yett if the wings is she’s healthy. BYU is a very religious, extremely strict university. For example, I was told that women are not allowed to wear leggings. Its possible that the bad feelings were about the university policies and not the volleyball program itself. Robinson is from Utah, which probably also played a lot into going to Univ. Utah.

Utah.[/quoHaven’t heard about the leggings thing—I’ll have to research that! Usually, Utahans are either die hard Utah fans or a die hard BYU fans. When she signed with BYU, she said it was her dream school. I highly doubt she has a problem with the Honor Code, and I don’t want to speculate here.

First of all, Robinson is from Highland, which is very close to Provo. She's also LDS. She described BYU as her "dream school" when she committed. Now, it's true that BYU isn't for everyone, not even for all devout LDS people. But I really think this is entirely about playing time. I think that Olmstead had an honest conversation with her that indicated that she couldn't guarantee that she'd start next year, given her lack of progression. So she transferred. Going to Utah makes me think that she's just not realistic about how good she actually is because she probably won't play much there like she would at UVU, Weber, etc.

Looked up leggings. Looks like they’re okay, but shorts or skirts, or dresses have to be worn over them, and must be below the knee. idcenter.byu.edu/id-card-policies#dress-grooming

Leggings are worn with such high frequency on campus/to class, etc, whatever rules may in theory exist aren't really enforced (probably can't be enforced).

Can't wait to get my beard waiver ID card BEARD WAIVERS Students who have need of a Beard Waiver, please contact the Honor Code Office, 4450 WSC, 801-422-2847. The Honor Code Office makes all decisions regarding Beard Waivers and Beard ID Card Waivers for students. Faculty who have need of a Beard Waiver, please contact Faculty Relations, D-341 ASB, 801-422-7017. Employees, please contact Benefits Services, D-240 ASB, 801-422-4716. Was originally committed to Oklahoma in high school and always wondered how she ended up at FAU. Should be a good arm for Bama. Played club ball with Fields and Zelaya at HJV What I was told is that the OU coach that took over the program in 2018 told her October '18/ a month before signing that they wont sign her .She was Santiago's recruit I assume she was looking for a place to go .
