I told you I had a presentation this afternoon and because of that would not have made it to College Station or Austin in time for matches. (I should have gone to Baylor though because only 90 minutes away)

You're kidding right?  The average college volleyball game lasts less than two hours (probably closer to 90 minutes).  Even five-set matches usually stay under two hours.   The average college basketball game is two hours and 10 minutes.
