and wilth Alfee leaving there is a lot of question marks for the backrow next season. We should be on the market for a strong libero. Northwestern got a good steal with Miller from Nebraska. We need to make a move on getting a DS ASAP. WE only have three DS and not all of them are ready. Efforts have been made to get a starting Libero via the portal but with the number of top programs that needed one, Illinois have been in competition with Penn State, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Texas, Washington, UCLA, USC, BYU and many others. Most of them are still trying. It's a tough market out there. I know Morgans deparuture was very unexpected, but this is what happens when we dont invest in a solid libero. Kuper will need lots of work to be a B1G libero she still has a tendency of passing the ball too tight to our setter. The other two will be sophmores but they have not had much expirence at this level. I am very worried about the backrow this upcoming season. Hoping we secure a good libero from the transfer portal

Do we have anyone willing to break into volleyball staff offices, photocopy notes on potential recruits and then post the notes here? I’d be willing to put up a few dollars for bail if that is an issue.

For what it’s worth, she is following Coach Tamas on Twitter. She is also following several current and past Illini players. Would love to see her in Orange and Blue.

She she looks like she will be a top recruit in her class. Already powerful and athletic. She would be a great addition to the Illini. Hopefully she follows her parents footsteps. She could be a real game changer for us

Anyways I just watched Brooke Mosher's club tape and I am impressed with her. 1) She is shorter but she is very physical, reminds me of Nickilin Hames from Nebraska 2) She can run a quick pace already and connects well with her hitters. I know she is suppose to RS her first year but she could challenge Brown for that starting spot as a freshman 3) She can hit with her left hand which is quite impressive especially when you are a setter. Interesting thing is she actually hits with her right hand but learned how to kill with her left when she is up front setting 4) She is a great attacker. They had her hit for a few rotations and she got a kill almost everytime she was set.
I am pretty impressed by this young lady, she could really be another Poulter type kid.
Sh's wearing 9

How can coaches be in touch with her at this age? I thought the rule was that they had to wait until after the sophomore year. Coaches are allowed to follow on social media. They aren't allowed to contact them, private message, etc., but it definitely can show if they are interested. Not all schools follow very many girls. It is interesting to see how the schools handle it differently. For instance, Nebraska doesn't seem to follow many at all, so you can tell who is super high on their list. But for some of the schools, they follow 15 girls for the same age and position. They are probably just showing some interest and also following their feed to see if they can get a read on character, etc.
