At this point, I'll be surprised if the season is even played..... I can see the volleyball season and all sports being played, but not until 2021. With all sports overlapping and compressed. For instance, all indoor sports starting in January, with the outdoor sports starting in the Spring and running to the end of July. This of course depends on who the President is at this time.

If cases were going down, I’d be optimistic but cases are rising significantly in the majority of states, including California so I’m not hopeful that we’ll have a fall season of women’s volleyball this year. The health of the student athletes has to be a priority.

It's sad if there is no season for college sports, but health is more important to all students and athletes at this time... As a fan of UH volleyball, I am sad, but, I'll get over it....

What's so disappointing is that the years from 2020 and on were supposed to be the years Ah Mow made her mark with Ah Mow girls.1 We are now supposed to be on the cusp of returning to national prominence.2
---
1 The exceptions being Skyler Williams and Janelle Gong.
2 I'm talking about beyond 2nd and 3rd rounds and into Regionals and National Semifinals. Granted, the 2019 team went to the 3rd round with some Ah Mow girls -- Choy, Hellvig, Van Sickle, Igiede -- and some Shoji girls -- Williams, Iosia, Okino, and Ross.

Wahines should do what the men team did, if the seniors want to come back for the 2021 season.

Thinking we will all know by late July, early August, what kind of women's volleyball season there will be, if there is one. The BIG TEN already has stated they will go with only a Conference Only season, if there is one. If the other Power 5 Conferences follow suit, and I do not see why they should not, this will trickle down to the Mid-Major Conferences also. We could also see a condensed version of the NCAA Tournament. All of this, of course, is if there is even a NCAA Women's Volleyball season.

Say "Aloha" to all the Wahine preconference tournaments if more conferences go with an INTRA-CONFERENCE schedule policy because no way would those teams be allowed to fly out to Hawaii.

Portland State and Pepperdine are not P5 schools so they could still come for the first tournament. . I don’t see any reason for them not coming. UH could call and see if they can get a replacement for Texas AM. Maybe UH can invite somebody from the MWC, the WAC or the WCC.

The BW is currently closer to nixing the season than holding a non-conference schedule.

The BW is currently closer to nixing the season than holding a non-conference schedule. Well, Spring in Hawaii wouldn’t sound too bad for volleyball. Maybe we could have fans even!

How would a Spring season of both Mens and Women’s even work as far as sharing the court? I think some High Schools have both teams during the same season but don’t know specifics. Idk if the playing of matches on the same day would be a thing. Might actually be a good thing for Hawaii with that specific fan base. Wonder what other teams it would be a help/hindrance to have both teams in season together..?

Right now, I think a spring season is more likely than a cancellation. But Hawaii fans definitely shouldn't waste time debating who is gonna take TAMU's spot in the preseason tournament.

So, you would have men’s bb, women’s bb, men’s vb, and women’s vb sharing the same Stan Sheriff Center? And all the other sports events going on around campus, that is going to be a traffic and parking nightmare in a small area of lower campus every weekend because you’ve also got baseball, softball, swimming/diving, tennis, etc.
Would the Blaisdell Arena be available? If so, wouldn’t that thin out the crowds attending all those events at the same time? If men’s bb and women’s vb are scheduled for the same night, would more attend men’s bb or women’s vb?
