So, you would have men’s bb, women’s bb, men’s vb, and women’s vb sharing the same Stan Sheriff Center? And all the other sports events going on around campus, that is going to be a traffic and parking nightmare in a small area of lower campus every weekend because you’ve also got baseball, softball, swimming/diving, tennis, etc. Would the Blaisdell Arena be available? If so, wouldn’t that thin out the crowds attending all those events at the same time? If men’s bb and women’s vb are scheduled for the same night, would more attend men’s bb or women’s vb? Orrrr no crowds. Crazy, huh?

It's sad if there is no season for college sports, but health is more important to all students and athletes at this time... As a fan of UH volleyball, I am sad, but, I'll get over it.... You do know these are mandatory tests and nearly all positives are still asymptomatic right. They aren’t getting tested bc they have symptoms. Not sure what’s the endgame of testing here. these students are still perfectly healthy despite a positive test. I’d be more worried about the old coach with chronic illness and there aren’t many of those around anymore. If these girls are being somewhat isolated from the community then where is the issue? The more asymptomatic positives that come out will continue to drive down the mortality rate of this disease. What is the mortality rate of a disease that will become acceptable to the decision/policy makers and more importantly public perception that will allow us to resume sports?

Say "Aloha" to all the Wahine preconference tournaments if more conferences go with an INTRA-CONFERENCE schedule policy because no way would those teams be allowed to fly out to Hawaii. How would that work with Hawaii's 14-day quarantine? I thought you had to stay in your hotel room for 14 days (with no outside interaction except medical care).
I agree with you. I can't see any team willing to do that or Hawaii VB picking up their tab.

I think the main risk for college athletes (who aren't in a high risk group) is that some asymptomatic ppl have lung and other damage. That's a pretty big risk for an athlete. But it hasn't been studied enough to know how big a risk that is or even what long term damage COVID might do to your lungs, heart, brain/nerves, liver, kidneys, etc. or how likely are things like blood clots or acute or chronic fatigue syndrome. They've seen lung damage in young ppl without symptoms.

If the visiting players are tested prior to arriving in Hawaii, they would not have to undergo the 14-day quarantine.

Just because you're an athlete and are asymptomatic , dont mean you're out of the woods, each person is different.

There is talk coming from the White House, that if a University, or College, does not hold in-person classes, then all international students, including athletes attending that University, or College will have to return to their country. The California Attorney General will be fighting this rule, as unconstitutional. Truly hope this rule does not occur.

Well there goes UCLA in both Women's Volleyball and Football. The PAC-12 just announce today that they will only play In-Conference games this fall in Football, Women's Volleyball, and Women's Soccer. I truly believe this is leading up to the BWC playing only Conference matches in both Women's Volleyball and Soccer. Also, I truly believe with no spectators. Only way to see the Wahine matches will be either on the internet, or Cable TV.

I actually think UH are the BW school that is least disrupted by a season of only conference play. This hurts Long Beach (who were playing several Pac 12 schools) way more.

Wondering now if the BWC will revamp their Conference schedule. Instead of playing each Conference team home and away, just once, will the Conference now schedule to have each team play each other 4 times, 2 at home and 2 away. With each being played back to back on consecutive days. Like Wednesday & Thursday, and Saturday & Sunday, something like that.

Why in the world would they play each other 4 times. Home & Away makes for 20 games. That's good enough.

2020 Wahine VB schedule never posted on their website, was hoping to see scheduling wise where the pukas are as a result of the PAC12 announcement. Our football schedule is a mess due to the PAC12 games being scratched... we don't play our first game until early October
