Super proud of Nicklin! She really stepped up big time this spring! Maybe she's not "mediocre" at all? Lauren was expected to be a first teamer but still so happy for her! Methinks she deserved first teamer in 2019 but whatevs. Lexi on 3rd team did not surprised me at all but I'm happy for her! Methinks she was still robbed of 2nd teamer in 2019 too lol. Shout out to Madi for HM! She may not have the yuge numbers this year but she was steady all around and came up big in our last match! GBR!

Sun 3rd team is insane. She is playing much better than last year when she was 2nd. Honestly she was deserving of first, but minimum 2nd. There were a lot of very powerful OH's this year.

I'm not a Nebraksa homer, but they can definitely do better than Kenzie K Koerber. Especially if you don't want to alienate future recruits.

All politics aside, I'd take Koerber easily. Didn't watched Utah this year but she has always been very solid.

All politics aside, I'd take Koerber easily. Didn't watched Utah this year but she has always been very solid. You don't just recruit the player, you recruit the person as well. Sports isn't just stockpiling statistics on a roster. If Cook thinks he can make it work from a culture/personality perspective, then he'll obviously try to get her to Lincoln, but he's very protective over the locker room chemistry ever since 2007. That's not an indictment on Koerber, she has every right to her beliefs and may be a perfectly affable teammate, jbut it adds extra due diligence on Cook's part. The good thing is, he does seek his players' input on potential transfers, at least he has with the last few.

With so much empahsis on culture, I doubt Cook would bring someone in that could destabilize that.

Where does opposite rank among positions of need for the Fall 2021 Huskers?
Assuming no transfers (in or out), the current projected lineup might look something like this:
S: Hames or Orr OH: Kubik and Krause MB: Caffey and Schwarzenbach RS: Batenhorst L/DS: Rodriguez, Knuckles and Akana
This assumes they would DS for both Krause and Batenhorst. Whichever of the three don't win the libero position would slot into the two DS roles.

The first priority is passing. So, whatever lineup gives you that.
