What do people think the starting line up will be? Does Hammons move to back row only?

I don’t see how she could beat out hall of Caesar for the front row I want as her libero Honestly with florida losing their libero and seeing how well of a serve receive passer Hammons is it would surprise me too much. The only other roll she would play is a possible ds for Hall or Caesar when they have an off passing game. The libero position will most likely go to the freshman McKissock though

Hammons should not be libero. I’m a huge fan and she is the main reason I’m a fan of Florida’s ( from the same hometown). She has great serve receive but doesn’t have the defensive ability or scrap to be a libero for a team as good as Florida. She doesn’t make huge digs or run down balls making diving saves. She has great serve recieve but she, based off performance, is not the best choice for libero. She fits middle back well because you get to stay deep and anticipate, you don’t need the fast reflexes someone defending the wings does. I’m only saying this bc it’s constantly brought up that hammons should be libero

Have Hall and Caesar hit the B from the back, though you'd want to develop a slide hitter (not sure Florida has one) to de-clump the hitters - or just run a 6-2, I guess.

I've had players (outsides) that came in with absolutely no chance at playing all the way around, and they dedicated themselves to doing that very thing. Busting their butts in the off-season to stay on the court. Are Hall and Caesar that poor at passing, that there is no hope for them?

She definitely is. I don’t think Caesar will play back row given all the defensive options Florida is. I would bet money on it

Yes, someone mentioned that Paige would play back row for Hall or Caesar, I assumed they meant neither one could pass or play defense. Maybe I misunderstood.

I would bet money on it I don't think Florida is going to be an elite passing or defensive team no matter how they line up their back row. The Gators are going to compete at the Top 10 level with their physicality at the net and elite score-from-anywhere pins (assuming Hall and Caesar both get healthy and Carlton continues to mature as a hitter). I think Florida gains more from keeping a dangerous pipe / B threat while Hall is back row than by becoming slightly better as a ball control team. They don't have the personnel to be Nebraska/PSU/Stanford, so they shouldn't be afraid to be Texas (who's won a title in recent memory).
