The fact that you do not know that that is the standard for open level usav kind of proves my point. Can you provide an example of a USA collegiate athlete, USA or foreign international player who meets this standard? Can you provide a source or reference for your claim that this is standard in USA? If it is standard, it must be published or commonly held belief, no?

The fact that you do not know that that is the standard for open level usav kind of proves my point. I've coached teams that finished 2nd in 17 Open, and 3rd in 16 Open at Girls Junior Nationals....and have never had anyone close to all of those criteria you listed. If you had one dominant kid, they may be able to do that against non-open competition....but that isn't what D1 is like. Just my $.02.

Tealer really is a weapon. I love the way Skinner has used her so uniquely. She is unstoppable. This past fall people doubted what he created for her. She’s a baller!

Wow Kentucky absolutely destroyed LSU. 12 17 17. Somethings wrong at LSU way too much talent to be losing to Ole Miss and getting beat THAT badly. UK has really done a nice job of playing at a consistently high level and not dropping to level of competition.

And yes...I have seen the Big10 play this year! they are my number 1 right now. They are just playing at an astonishingly high level. Someone can make the weak SEC argument but the good big ten teams are playing down to the level of the bad ones. Dropping sets go MSU, Rutgers, and Maryland.

UK has really done a nice job of playing at a consistently high level and not dropping to level of competition. I agree with both of these points. I had some reasonable but somewhat high expectations for LSU because of the pieces in place this season. Lots of talent in key spots, some exciting new players, some good experienced players. But they just can't seem to get it together. Can't quite put my finger on it either. They had zero chance of winning last night and you could see it in their faces IMO. Also I think Kentucky is for real. I have honestly not put them in the top tier of programs before and I know they don't get as much respect as fans of Kentucky think they deserve. Maybe because of the league they play in, and the lack of a superstar player (no offense to Lilly, Curry, Stumbler, and the Skinner girls - it can be argued that they are in fact elite players -- maybe Lilly is a superstar- I'll let you guys argue that one) but I think what they have works so well. They don't have a Plummer or a Retke or a Yossi Pressly. It's more like a well-oiled machine with several great parts as opposed to a team with one or two flashy players. Just several really good players playing their role at a consistently high level no matter who they are playing. LSU actually hit well above their season average against Kentucky but the wildcats easily destroyed them. A well-oiled machine. I think they'll handle Florida just fine too. Not picking Kentucky as my number one just yet, but I think they are legit. We shall see.

Our Ole Miss team is really missing the (Laurens) to help at setter, Hats off to Gabby Easton @ 5'71/2 doing all she can on weak side defense. Thats a lot of work for a entire match. Going to be tough to outscore teams when you are giving up a conference high .267 Opponent Hitting percentage. Gabby is another former Upward Star player. I was really shocked she left Clemson. Her parents were former Clemson athletes. That family bleeds orange and white. Would love to know the story behind her transfer.

New coach who didn’t recruit her and wanted her own recruit. Tigers’ loss.
