Can TN make the tourney? Fingall is really, really good. It’s possible, not sure I like the chances. I think Mizzou losing to Mississippi State would significantly help those chances. If Tenn can win 2 makeup games — even more so. Even if both happened, I don’t know if I’d put Tennessee in, but it’d be close. I like Tennessee going 3-1 vs. Arkansas / Mizzou. We’ll see what the committee thinks. That last loss to Alabama hurts.

Also anyone know why basham isn’t on the TAMU roster anymore? From an article after the first spring game: NOTES — Libero Karly Basham is no longer with the Aggies, Kuhn confirmed. The sophomore led A&M in digs this fall with 100. Sabrina Sustala took over the reins of libero on Wednesday and finished with seven digs and three assists. ... The teams will play again at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Fingers crossed for today. Also, I feel like Rose is struggling. I'm a fan of hers. She's very athletic and I love how the ball comes out of her hands, but her location lately has been bonkers. Just an example: sometimes if I'm not paying close attention to Bannister's position, I can't tell if she is front row or back row according to the sets she gets. Rose's back set to the right side is often the same as her set when Bannister is hitting from D zone. And when she is actually setting the D, it's sometimes 3 feet behind the 10 ft line. And don't get me started on her connection with Anwusi. lol Geaux Tigers though! Also, how do you feel about Williams (a MB) setting??

Any word on what, if any, makeup games will occur? There's certainly plenty of time before selection show next Sunday.
Curious how they'll handle Florida and Georgia, who both only have games against State to makeup. Who gets the chance to make up the games against State or does State just have to deal with hosting 4 games in a week?

You lose a lot of athleticism without Rose on court but at least for today she seemed to have a better connection with the middles. Lots of things to sort thru...frustrated that this team on paper has the ability to be very successful, but just has difficulties closing out sets when game on line (other than today's first set). Everybody's back next year so lets hope that these girls can do enough to get to the dance next year. Digging into the crow sandwich....tastes like chicken!!

Season comes to a close for the Aggies. Lots to work on for next year. Replace Conner as setter will be a priority

Looking at it from the perspective of what's best for the conference, I don't see the reason to make up matches. Neither Mizzou nor Arkansas can improve their resumes. Kentucky has nothing to gain and everything to lose from more matches.
Would UT and A&M want to play their matches just for the experience? But how can those matches happen without requiring Kentucky to make up matches?

There only reason to make up a match would be if it would effect tournament bids. UK is already in. So there’s no need for them to make up any games. Tennessee could improve their standing for a potential bid with a couple of more wins. But Texas A&M probably does not get any help from make up games. I’m betting since it won’t help both teams get a bid, make up games probably won’t happen.
