I know she's from Florida. If your thinking proves to be true, the Gators would be an awfully interesting possibility. Methinks, adios Rollins means hello Samedy. As an outsider, with zero visibility to anything beyond what the public knows ... that makes no sense to me. |

They don't count for fall 2021. So that wouldn't be a factor, if the school wants the senior. Obviously, the Gophers would want Samedy back. I thought there was something where the University said that they're not paying for those extra scholarships (except for in Football of course). When the Spring 2020 sports season were cancelled, the NCAA said seniors in those sports could come back for an extra year (spring 2021 season) and keep their scholarships without counting against the limit, but that schools didn't have to fund them above and beyond the scholarship limits they already funded.
So of course, Mark Coyle being a coward, announced that he would not fund those additional scholarships.
That's what I know to be true.
But then as far as Fall 2020 sports and Winter 2020-21 sports ... those season weren't cancelled, but the NCAA gave those athletes the additional year if they wanted it, and the same rules that super-seniors returning to the same program could keep their scholarships without counting against the limit.
Rest assured, Minnesota football will be above their normal scholarship limits in Fall 2021.

Like I said, I only know what the public knows. If it was that type of thing, sure I can believe it.
Still no announcement from Samedy. I'm sure the moment it hits insta, it will fly around the internet.

Had I been asked in April, I would have been stunned to see any of Stivrins, Samedy, Sun, Rettke back. As days went on, I'd have been stunned if the decision by Samedy had been different.

I'm not sure why Samedy is listed as opposite and the other pin hitters are all listed as outside hitters. Certainly Samedy is capable of hitting from the left. Perhaps they are changing to calling them all outside hitters but Samedy is still opposite because no one bothered to update it. It really isn't that important.
Now that we have a roster we can start guessing at a line up.
Um, why are we on the spring thread? LOL.
