ACC already announced today that non-football sports will not be allowed to compete in games prior to Sept 1 this year.
Volleyball is screwed, because it's indoors. We know that indoor air is the big problem with transmission. Outdoor sports have more free flowing air, to carry away the infectious air droplets/aerosols exhaled by contagious people.
You can go both ways on volleyball. Yes, it's indoors and being indoors presents the problems you have stated. But, it wouldn't have to be indoors in tight spaces. You could conceivably play a match with about 60 people in the arena, many of them spread out. While there is less contact in volleyball, the type of interaction between players at the net is probably problematic. There are far fewer volleyball players and staff to test, trace and manage. So, it's not like volleyball wouldn't have advantages over outdoor sports. But, I don't think they'll cancel football and other sports and still play volleyball. But, it is a sport that can be played anytime as weather is not a factor. Good point you make (or were alluding to) is the spacing that's present in the game, except for at the net (which you said). Minnesota Dept of Health I believe classified vball as a "medium risk" sport, while football a "high risk" sport, using such criteria (proximity and duration being near to someone else).
Now that the Big Ten has cancelled all non-conf matches, I am crossing my fingers that we'll at least get that.

Get ready for school #3, gurl. Just kidding, but tone deaf, to say the least.
And she’s off the roster now? Hmmm. This makes me wonder if there were any "posts" prior to her deciding to transfer out of Iowa.

I renewed mine but at this point the only way I can see us actually watching matches in person is if they shift to Williams Arena. With its larger capacity, they could probable get at least season ticket holders in to matches and still maintain the state's 1/4 capacity rule. If people would be willing to go. And if a season happens. And if Williams is even a possibility.

They are only 3.8 miles apart. Does every sport at St. Thomas have to go D1? Aren't they moving to the summit league?

The best part is D1 matches coming to St. Paul. Even if the Tommies struggle, there will be some good teams headed here. Plus opportunities for good D2 teams to play them, at least at first.
I'm just bummed that the one Tommie I knew was a senior.

Will Big 10 allow volleyball teams to play each other at each home's court, or will they just play each other 1X??
