Pep talk for the fans from Sheff!! I appreciate this gesture, but I don't need it. I'm all in. I'm not going anywhere.

I really love the effort that this team makes to connect with fans - from the players right through to the coaching staff.

Your girl got her Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year trophy today.
In other news, why does it take so long for her to get her trophy? They almost could have presented it to her at the first match.

That trophy is clearly not made for a libero.

Some great stuff in this podcast with coach Sheff. About 23:00 in he starts talking about some of the newcomers. And, a bit surprisingly, he starts talking about the international recruits in '21 and '22 (Or is it '23?) at 27:00. Easily connecting the dots, he sounds really excited about Orzol and was really impressed with her on that tour. Not surprising, considering how it all came about. But, that sounds really, really exciting to me.

He was really positive about Demps and Robinson. Sounds like Devin will probably start on the right as we predicted. He hinted she may stay out there until Hart graduates. Demps has a chance at either pin in his opinion but my guess is that Devin has RS. Good talk about MJ too, although there he's looking ahead a bit. He made me really excited to see what Orzol is about.

Been working to get to understand how volleyball leagues in Europe work, and trying to follow them a bit with the absence of B1G volleyball at the moment. I have found it confusing. But, in my research and exploration of European leagues I did come across a recent U19 Women's European Championship. Assuming the link works properly, it is on Orzol. Not too much of note. But, she is evidently the captain of the Polish U19 team now. They took 5th. www.cev.eu/Competition-Area/CompetitionNews.aspx?NewsID=31014&ID=1201

It does take a while to get used to it. The fact that sponsors often change doesn’t make it easier. I liked it when Carlini was in Italy. It was much easier to watch her then. This article makes Orzol sound like a true leader.

I think we are waiting for some decisions. No way they open up a contact sport and not others. That would be obvious but football is the "top dog." I'd love to see volleyball start in October too. It seems like a long shot. Hope I'm wrong.

I think we're looking at January. But I don't know. That's what I'm waiting to hear about. Also interested in the structure of the B1G season. There may be other decisions to be made that will be important.

I suspect you may have it right, and consider it possible fallout from having been so proactive with submission of a Spring plan to the B1G.
