The Big Ten Network finally published their women's volleyball schedule for the 22nd and 23rd. 1/22/20 at 6:30 pm -- B1G Women's Volleyball: Purdue at Wisconsin 1/23/20 at 4:00 am -- Replay of Purdue at Wisconsin 1/23/20 at 9:00 pm -- 2nd Replay of Purdue at Wisconsin (yikes!) BTN+ shows that the Nebraska vs Indiana match is scheduled to air on BTN at 6:00 pm on Jan. 22nd (not Purdue at Wisconsin). What gives?!! * All times are ET. It doesn't make sense. I'm guessing someone just made a mistake on the BTN+ schedule. I love me some badger volleyball and all, but three replays seems a bit much. Just a cost saving measure? Do they just not have enough person power to do more matches to fill the time? |

The schedule on the 23rd doesnt list that match as a replay. It's just the second scheduled match between the two (9pmET/8PMCT)
The listing at 4am is the replay.

Michigan's schedule now showing a BTN+ link for Saturday and Sunday but the games are still not showing on the BTN+ schedule. I'm now getting...hopeful?

Does anyone think that we'll see a lot more series splits this season due to the back-to-back matches? I'm not confident in anything this year, but I would expect slightly less splits. Back to mean means little to no time to game plan for a rematch based on results of the first. |

Back to mean means little to no time to game plan for a rematch based on results of the first. That's a good point. To add to that, most of these matches are in the same location both nights. Although I don't know how much a home court advantage will play into it this year with no fans present. You could maybe make the argument that a team that loses the first night might be extra motivated to win the second night. It would be interesting to see some stats on that. |

Coaches' ability to make adjustments from first match to second should be a factor. However, the standings at the end of the season will reflect which team has the most talent...(duh...ya' think?) |
