Ok so if Ohio State is that bad then where does that leave Penn State?? You’re either making the case that both Ohio State and Penn State are a tier below or you’re going to put them both in that tier with Nebraska....what does Ohio State’s win against Penn State count for? Anyways, It’ll be sorted out on the court but this ranking obviously completely disregards the body of work that Ohio State has put so far

It is so refreshing to not be the only one throwing a fit about how much people discredit Buckeye volleyball...

The problem with that argument is that at this point we’d be just saying that the whole conference is overrated...Penn State pushed Minnesota hard similar to Purdue and Nebraska so you can’t pull Penn State down without pulling the others with them and even if you do, it still means that Ohio State belongs in the same tier as Nebraska and everybody’s just bad instead of just acknowledging that the conference is deep and Ohio State while has shown inconsistencies, should still get credit for grinding out wins in different ways

But Ohio State has been impressive? For going five sets twice with Maryland? or five sets with Michigan State? or five against Illinois? if anything it should be bumping down Penn State to the OSU tier. The whole Nebraska hasnt been impressive narrative is being pushed by certain posters. Yes, they've struggled at times but they were all of what, 4-5 points going their way from beating Minnesota... which this board has claimed is in this mega tier with Wisconsin. I’m not sure that I believe or that I have said personally that I think Minnesota is in the Wisconsin tier. (I may have a while ago after the Purdue series but now I don’t feel that way) also OSU beat a Penn State team who almost beat Minnesota just like how you said Nebraska did. I’m not saying OSU is better I just definitely think they should be in the same tier as of right now. Unless the huskers win today. Also Rylee Rader was injured during the Maryland series and she is one of the best OSU players now that she is getting into form Rader wasn’t injured, but nonetheless...good to see a strong start. 5 sets or not, these are teams they’ve lost to last season.

After the first five weeks (a couple matches today). Wisconsin Minnesota Nebraska Penn State Purdue Ohio State Michigan Northwestern Illinois Michigan State Maryland Indiana Rutgers Iowa I have enjoyed the opportunity to observe the latest virtual meeting of the Volleytalk Society for Placing Teams on Top of Other Teams. I have especially enjoyed the discussion on whether Ohio State had been placed on top of the proper number of teams.

Oh how I wish I could say that at times in real life.

I'll be the first to say it: I find it hilarious that Robinson has yet to be recognized as Freshman of the Week for all that she's done so far, but then Demps gets it.
Also, Buzzerio getting POTW? I'm sorry, didn't Iowa lose to Rutgers in 5 the other day? Are we really at that point in the season?

Courtney Buzzerio is a very talented, multi-faceted player and had an exceptional two matches (nearly two triple-doubles). To me, congratulations are in order for her.
