Thoughts on if Rutgers schedules well that they could make the tournament next year ? I would love this. They took a big step this year, even with losses (taking a set off Nebraska, etc) they took a HUGE step. That coach must be a genius.

Personally I don’t want to hear anyone complain about Wisconsin. Not being deservingly the Big Ten Champion, and I don’t want to hear anyone claim They are either. OK....

Thoughts on if Rutgers schedules well that they could make the tournament next year ? Don’t schedule well—you take advantage of playing in the top conference in vball and schedule *cupcakes*. Inflate that W/L record and then let that RPI magic take over when you get to conference play. If that doesn’t work out convince the B1G to let you play in the NVIT.

That is a factual statement. You can quibble with the path that got them there. But, facts are facts. Except in politics.

I acknowledge they are big ten champions, never ever implied that clear fact wasn’t true. My point is nobody should claim they didn’t earn it (they won the matches they played) nobody should claim they “earned” it they had the 5 toughest matches the Big offers cancelled and got 2 forfeits. Both sides should IMO say “it is what it is” in a screwed up “season”

Thoughts on if Rutgers schedules well that they could make the tournament next year ? How much of their talent so they return? As far as I can tell from the roster they don’t lose too much. But they’ll have to schedule some solid teams and still win in the preseason and do better than they did in the B10 this season if they want a chance. IIRC, Kamila Cieslik is graduating and not returning, but I could be wrong.

Rutgers is in a great geographic spot to find cupcakes that still have good records and are beneficial for RPI. The concern would be, who are they going to beat? They would have to hope the RPI numbers work out, and they get a couple wins against the mid-level B1G teams to get quality wins to have a case.

I mean, on eye test alone, i’m not sure how anyone can argue Wisconsin isn’t the best team in the conference. And that’s all we have to go off of with this season.

Sounds like Erika Pritchard is moving on.

And here's the initial senior day post from Maryland a few days ago. Every senior on the roster is included, plus redshirt junior Jada Gardner.

Sounds like Erika Pritchard is moving on. She really was the heart of that team after everyone transferred out when Aird left. She did so much and I'm definitely going to miss her presence out there when the Terps take the floor in the fall.

That group was so promising. Pritchard was the big local recruit who stuck around through it all. I wish she would’ve gotten a shot in the postseason in her freshman year.

We poured out liquor again today in the FSU-Thread and celebrated the memory of Pritchard and that 2017 Maryland team. She and Maryland will never forgotten. We will meet and mourn again sometime in December when the Selection Show is aired and the Committee victimizes someone else. Maryland (and North Texas) are extra special in my heart because they fell victim to what was the worst of all time thus far, the infamous High Point debacle.
