If you're gonna call everyone else off so that you can set the ball, you need to set a freaking hittable ball. Smh @ poland's libero there she really cost them that set.... terrible second balls by her Smarzek had about 4-5 decent (or better) looks at match point swings. She needs to terminate one of them (and usually would). Poland was sending too much her way when she's really been struggling with the block today. Also, Boz has just been fantastic finding ways to score.

Boz has saved 3 match points... And she proudly tells the crowd “no touch” on the last point that was ended with a challenge from Poland.

Through 4:
Boz: 26-11-55 Hande: 14-7-30 Eda negative with only 3 kills but 9 blocks
Stysiak: 19-9-50(only 10-9-44 since the 1st set) Smarzek: 16-9-52
Turkey 19 blocks to 15 from Poland. Defenses really making it hard.

Poland 8-7 at the switch after Kakolewska with a standing tapdown on the overdid of Smarzek's tip.
Wolosz just sets the offense she wants to set and doesn't really adjust to her hitters. It's great for Conegliano when she has personnel that are picked to fit her but she needs to slow it down for the Polish hitters. It seems after they lose a point she just sets the next one faster. That's why Poland traditionally favored Skorupa - just better able to adjust to the team they have.
12-9 Turkey got some (more) blocks and an ace.

Poland had a chance to go up by 2 points in the 5th set (10-8) but then Stysiak got blocked... everyone in the gym probably knew Wolosz was setting Stysiak instead of Smarzek or the middle in that point.
C4ndle is correct, I feel like Wolosz just wants to keep setting fast sets. Not helping them at all.

14-11 Turkey. For all their flaws, looks like they may find a way. Guidetti is worth every penny.

Germany vs Turkey final (rematch) for a ticket to the Olympics.
Turkey played extremely well after the second half of Set 5. At least 3 blocks and an ace.

I really hope Turkey gets the chance to play in the Olympics.
And nice to see Naz Aydemir playing for Turkey again.

Poland was simply bad at the wrong times. How many times was that super quick GO set stuffed in transition? How many mistakes did that libero make in crunch time plays? I feel for them but yikes
