I feel really bad for this class. They have been screwed all the way around. And it is too bad because it is a super loaded class in terms of talent. Really? Hmmmm I dunno. I haven’t been wowed by too many players, even among those projected to be the top of the class. I thought 2020 was super deep AND talented, I just saw a lot of impressive players. I don’t really see that for 2022. I will say that I think a super under the radar recruit for 2022 is Morgan Colyer. I think she’s gonna be great. Agreed. She’s committed to Oregon.

Does Devin have a deadline to verbally announce or schools have a certain time they can't recruit her?

Better than Rubin and Middleton? This is 'just' a point system based on several different sources. It is not the definitive rank, but a rank I can make very quickly for basic organizing of players. Things I looked at: Volley_High coaches draft, GYNTT, VB Magazine Watch list, Prepvolleyball T150 rankings. vs. Rubin: Kahahawai was top 10 in Prepvolleyball vs. Rubin being top 20 and this was worth one point difference. However, Kahahawai was #18 in the Volley_High draft vs. #5 for Rubin which looking back should probably make those two ~ equal in BI. vs. Middleton and Carlson - Kahahawai was on the GYNTT team and the other two were not. However, Middleton and Carlson were T5 instead of T10 in PV. GYNTT was worth more - although it may have been the case that Middleton was aged out of GYNTT? Wucherer maxed out on everything I used.

Jordan Middleton, Anna Herrington and Carter Booth are all 2022s who aged out of GYNTT (U18) last year and were selected to the Women’s Junior National Training Team (U20) instead with women who were 2020 and 2021 high school graduates. You probably owe them each points based on that criteria. usavolleyball.org/womens-national-team/womens-u20-team/

Better than Rubin and Middleton? Kahahawai is probably better offensively than Rubin but I'm not sure by how much. Rubin is better in the back row and in serve receive than both Middleton and Kahahawai. Middleton is the best offensively out of the three.

She didn't make the VB Magazine watch list nor was drafted in the VH draft. Puts her in the same class as Keefe, Lauren Carter, and Trubint.

I like how Blue Penquin tries to make an objective ranking system. It is a great jumping off point. Unfortunately it uses subjective rankings from other sources. This is not a knock on Blue Penquin. You can only work with what you are given. As mentioned previously though there are players who get more publicity, higher rankings because of what club they play for, the tournaments they play in and other things. On the flip side, there are players who may not be as highly ranked because of those "x-factors". Again it is what it is.
I'm pretty familiar with many in this class - particularly midwest and southeast players - and I'm still surprised at some who keep getting alot of the recogntion as well as those who seem to be flying under the radar. I look forward to seeing several of the under radar types in college and see them show out!

Rubin is better in the back row and in serve receive than both Middleton and Kahahawai. Middleton is the best offensively out of the three. Just my opinion, but at the same age, there were at least a half dozen pins in the class of 2020 that were better offensively than Middleton.
